Cooked some shrimp, drank some beer, and cleaned the house in anticipation of my friend Dave and his family coming over for dinner in a couple hrs. Picked up some fresh silver king corn (fresh local sweet corn) and cauliflower at the farmers market. Also picked up a drum kit for my 8 yr old.

I like both of the raisin beers they do, too.

I really like palo santo. It's got to be a little warmer than most beers, and tastes best in a tulip glass, and isn't a summer beer at all, but I'm still a big fan.

the no-gluten version of chicken and waffles gluten free waffles (made them for the kids for breakfast), roasted chicken tenders, and cajun gluten free gravy. Works well enough, tasty lunch.

Congrats Nate! Hopefully it all works out. I can't imagine staying 11 years at a single company, so leaving's got to be a shock to the system.

I think only being on the job a week is a great reason to ask to have it off. "Hey, I have had plans for months for this coming weekend, so if it's at all possible, I'd appreciate being able to have the day off".
