  1. Congratulations on the PR Mike. We drove up to Chicago today, stopped at McCormick Place to pick up the chip along with 44,999 other runners. Then buzzed up to the hotel only to find out they have no pool. Scrambled to keep a 5 year-old from melting down and ended up going swimming at the Lake Shore Athletic Club. Afterwards we ate an overpriced dinner and now everyone is asleep. Except me as I'm busy describing our day.
  2. Nope, I sent it back as I never really bought it. It was a free loan as I let them use my balanced amp (GSX) during CanJam. I probably would have bought it for a more extended listening session but I succumbed to the sirens call of the buffalo32. Now I actually have to finish building it
  3. Good luck Mike and Gail. Looks like your probably 40 minutes in.
  4. Because they were talking to each other in Chat.

Although tritium does produce a beta particle, it is a very low energy beta that has a very low probability of penetrating the dead layer of skin. The real danger with tritium is from internal damage due to ingestion or inhalation. The triated paint once dry poses little hazard.
  6. I don't know I'm pretty sure old Tubez-of-fun outweighs the twins combined.
  7. Can you expand on that a little for those of us less well informed?
  8. Excellent, because your Micro Line Drive inspired me to go looking for a mid to replace the one that did not survive SD.
  9. My understanding is the network bridge is a wireless bridge to a NAS, then through a digital lens to clean up the jitter and output from their using i2s via HDMI to the DAC.
  10. Awesome. I will be looking forward to your impressions. Depending upon how well it works will be the deciding factor in my purchase.
  11. When is the network bridge scheduled to be released?
  12. Well I finished modding the LCD-1's. I did a slight modification of dbels mod. In addition to the yellow insulation I used some thin felt on the inside of the cups as well as another density of thin felt with an adhesive layer on the outside of the insulation. Then I used the thick dense felt pad between the screws holding the driver. Lastly I sealed the pads to the drivers using some (actually quite a bit of) special orthosealing (electrical) tape. It was a lot to stuff in there but they do sound better balanced. Can't really say if it has helped in their handling of complex musical passages as I haven't listened to anything that complex yet. Definitely an easy and worthwhile thing to do and it is infinitely customizable.
  13. Take I24W to I65N to I90W to I190W... Approx. 10 hours, 620 miles but for you probably closer to 7 hours
  14. They already have them but they are part of HT receivers and pre-pros.
  15. Yeah, could be. There is nothing known weird about those CDs AFAIK and I actually have both and never had a problem with them.
  16. Happiest of Birthdays and get well.
  17. NTTAWTT
  18. Have you tried burning them to CD/DVD and then trying to read the copy?
  19. That is an awesome picture.
  20. Because your avatar picture makes you look so much more debonair?
