  1. HD800 modification thread - Head-Fi: Covering Headphones, Earphones and Portable Audio
  2. Dude, everyone knows you just have to flip the PSX upside down and then it beats $1k dedicated CD players easy.
  3. So a bassless stock T50RP. Yeah, I'd rank them last, too. Especially if I liked a big, healthy amount of bass like it seems you do from all your other headphones. I'd try to rerank my headphones but a lot of them are still not quite functional. If only someone would give me back my shitty soldering station.
  4. Ron Paul, get back to work killing old people, dammit.
  5. You're going as well? I'll PM you my cell number, we can't not meet. I don't consider Porcupine Tree metal, although they seem to be developing that tendency. I also don't consider Tool metal. Don't hit me with the ban stick, please.
  6. Going to see Porcupine Tree Friday night. So imagine not seeing this post until Saturday.
  7. Which T50 do you have? I assume the current gen T50RP, or worse yet, the T50RP with non-sealing pads.
  8. I'd keep the $1000 because I'm poor as hell, but the K701s can go, since I'd have no use for them.
  9. Er, would that be LobsterBJ or Isopodking(BJ)? I think he can only handle BJing one iPod/headphone at a time; for all I know, his next target might well be the DT48. I put an isopod in your mouth so you can blow someone while blowing someone.
  10. You might want to search a little harder on HF. I remember there was a guy a couple years ago who compared and possibly owned the entire AT woody line all the way up to the W5000. There was this one post I particularly remember being 'epic', in the style of Genesis.
  11. Yeah, I wouldn't expect much out of the stock headphone. I'd say I wouldn't expect much out of a $60 headphone but good orthos were had for that price at some point, that is... not now, anymore.
  12. Dude, brilliant. A BJ in a BJ; a double BJ. Like a double quarter pounder, except not, because the beef patty isn't in the other beef patty. Wait, what were we talking about? Okay, that's enough HC for me, today. Post pics or it didn't happen.
  13. So that's why I have syphilis, I thought it was my ill-functioning power conditioner all this time.
  14. Hm, I'm not sure effort is the right word. It comes naturally. Oh, and I guess I forgot to say hi. Welcome.
  15. robots in disguise [cue wheenie whacking]
  16. Dear god, Amy Winehouse's worst song - about herself being a druggie and not wanting help - is at the top of the list. That's what defines this decade? I'd say the songs got worse as you went up the list but I haven't heard most of the songs below the 30th or so.
  17. There is no stop button with Billy Mays. Except the die of cocaine button.
  18. What about the TakeT out of the Pico?
  19. That was a good one. In other words, not stock cups. At all. Very nice work, how does it sound?
  20. Just got an SR-X Mk3 (thanks, jpnums) and it's actually different from what I was expecting. The bass is... there. The sound is somewhat laid-back, despite the drivers sitting right by the ears and the fact that it's a supraaural monitor headphone. The midrange is not particularly forward, everything seems well-balanced and smooth. Well, hot diggity damn. Interesting that you'd say such a thing. The Sigs definitely have more treble than the Pro, which has more treble than the normal bias. Thanks for the comparison.
  21. Happy birthday, skankfucker-to-be
  22. Agreed. Then everything else must not be stock. Want. Donut. Badly. (of the ortho variety, not Britts)
  23. I was actually referring to the fact that even if you get a good fit, the pads don't seal in the bass particularly well, based on what's been said and my experience with velours. But yeah, if we're modifying heads, might as well just hook up some wires and fire some electrical impulses directly to the auditory handling part of the brain for direct injection of music.
