^^^ An interesting test for the 800s, in fact. An "intentionally bright" album and yet it sounds really superb. No excessive sibilance (OK, maybe a trace on "Just Like A Woman"), no gratuitously splashy cymbals. Riveting, honestly.

Sorry Jim, I missed this. The info came from Jim Spainhour, who runs Peachtree. I guess there are two possibilities. He meant the 9006 and miswrote. Or he meant the 9018 and miswrote. I suspect the latter, as the Nova already uses the 9006 and the implication seems to be it's a newer DAC chip.
