HF-2, Head Case edition.

Eels -- Electro-Shock Blues

Pure evil. Now where's my super-limited edition, I want to fondle it? Oh...

Ding ding ding. We have a winner. Todd has been royally hosed here and it's pretty obvious who the hoser is.

I think it's time to officially rename these the Head-F1 edition and pay vast sums to recover and destroy the first 20. Then let's all pretend nothing ever happened, mmmkay?

They're moar yellow. Also, I think, the consistency of the foam.

He will not.

The Cranberries -- Gold The first two albums were really something. And then ... pfft.

The main benefit of an upgrade to the new Outlaw would be to get Trinnov room correction -- which is reportedly absolutely outstanding, though how well it will be implemented in these new processors remains to be seen. The first new Sherwood-Newcastle receivers (which Outlaw's model is based off) are just trickling in to dealers now, so there should be some reliable reports soon.

+5 is the new zero.

Looks like someone needs to mash it down the drain in Chekhonte's shower with their foot.

^^^ An interesting test for the 800s, in fact. An "intentionally bright" album and yet it sounds really superb. No excessive sibilance (OK, maybe a trace on "Just Like A Woman"), no gratuitously splashy cymbals. Riveting, honestly.

Shut up! Suitable for framing! Look how much dynamic range we anticipate! +-30dB, ja? Nummer eins super dynamische Kopfh

Bob Dylan -- Blonde On Blonde SACD

Well, the Senn frequency graphs are apparently coming in and ... they did it theeeeeir waaaay.

This is really cool if you use Growl for notifications on your desktop and want to extend that to your iPhone. Plus, one of the default sound effect choices is "Zoidberg".

You're gonna like the way it looks sounds.

Jenny Lewis with The Watson Twins -- Rabbit Fur Coat I love Jenny.

For you, robocat was invented.

Jane's Addiction -- Nothing's Shocking

Sorry.

Sorry Jim, I missed this. The info came from Jim Spainhour, who runs Peachtree. I guess there are two possibilities. He meant the 9006 and miswrote. Or he meant the 9018 and miswrote. I suspect the latter, as the Nova already uses the 9006 and the implication seems to be it's a newer DAC chip.

Elton John -- Madman Across The Water

Worked out at the gym. Oh dear. One might have let oneself go just a wee bit recently.
