  1. ^^^ WOOWOO, thanks man!

  4. This. Sweet Jesus, that thing is awesome.
  5. I've been working on a bunch of small projects with the laser lately, including a few custom coasters for friends and such. Even made a batch for Andrew's baseball coaches. The one in the background is the prototype, the foreground the final. We gave them to them last week and all thought it was pretty cool. I'll post some of the other stuff after an even that I'm making them for and we'll see if others post some stuff that I've made for them.
  6. Thanks everyone, as always I really appreciate the support and so does KBF.
  7. Once again this year I'm prepping to ride a century in support of the Kelly Brush Foundation. Between indoor Zwifting, the MTB, and multiple road bikes I've been pounding (or is it prancing?) on the pedals this year. I've amassed some 2,600+ training miles already with a goal of getting as close to 3,000 before the event as possible. This year marks a return to the in-person ride up in VT, with friends mostly coming from near by to do this as a group as safely as possible. For me this is the 10th century that I've done in support of either Northeast Passage or Kelly Brush and I'm looking forward to enjoying it. A bit about KBF - they are a non-profit organization dedicated to assisting individuals with spinal cord injuries in finding ways to get out and enjoy an active lifestyle. For me, this is a cause close to my heart. I love the outdoors and the freedom to explore it in a variety of ways and have worked with organizations like the KBF for the last twenty years to help others do the same. So the mission remains the same, 'm trying to raise a bunch of money again this year with a goal of $2,000. As usual, all of the donations are tax deductible and maybe some legislation will get passed this year to make that more meaningful but really, I'm hoping the motivation isn't just to get a write off. So for those that are interested, here's the link to my personal fund raising page - https://kbf.akaraisin.com/ui/2021KellyBrushRide/p/59fc933a03a54ed49869208beac367ff Any donation large or small is very much appreciated.
  8. ^^^ Not sure exactly what you're asking, many of us have used switches like what you're describing but not knowing what or how you're proposing to use one it's impossible to answer your questions. Most uses that I'm aware of have been to trigger relays (power on/off, source selector) in which case it sees very little voltage or current and is serving its intended function. If you're thinking about some other application, it'll require careful consideration.
  9. Thanks, Craig. The 50mi actually felt really good. The 20mi rip was a ton of fun but definitely left me sore for days.
  10. Posting these for Brent's entertainment.
  11. Peach cobbler that Lily and I made the other night.
  12. Oh damn, that’s sweet! I’ll post my latest project this weekend, I have to let the DoD do their job Friday first.
  13. One assumes he/she meant...
  14. Mischief managed.
  15. Happy birthday!
  16. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TODD!
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. Aw crap, that sucks. RIP Dusty. I’ll cue up some ZZ Top as soon as humanly possible.
  19. I took a look at various product images (which refuse to be attached to this post thanks to my nonsense work network) and you should be able to press it out as Fitz suggests. I'm sure it'll take some messing about but looks like it should be a recoverable failure. Worse case, let us know what amp it is and we can look at how hard it'd be to replace the whole headphone jack.
  20. Happy Birthday!
  21. I'm sure the good Dr doesn't mind. The offending jackass has be dealt with.
  22. Happy Birthday!
  23. I watched her highlights with the kids tonight and they thought it was a cool sport. Was figuring you were pretty psyched to see the US medal (gold no less).
