  1. Nate, the place in Florida is Fisher Hearing, I believe. I have a pair of FreqShows I may send to have reshelled. They do not go as deep as the JH13's and I figure I have them around. If the cost is under $100 I might as well have them reshelled especially since I have an extra set of molds from CJ '09.
  2. Nice. I'm pretty happy with the way my stout turned out. The carbonation settled down nicely and it taste good. I'm hoping to hit my homebrew shop this week to buy another corny keg and some stuff for another recipe, not sure yet. I was thinking a pliny clone but the amount of hops necessary is out of control.
  3. Talk about being alone. At least I made it to Roscoe's.
  4. Alex, that tt is sweet. I look forward to hearing it at the next meet.
  5. Charlie Hunter - Gentlemen, I Neglected To Inform You You Would Not Be Getting Paid
  6. Happy Birthday!
  7. Apparently not. It was a function of when my kids finished school and when we have to move Britt and when she starts summer session. There was no way to do two weeks for the family and not include the weekend of CJ. I will miss you all but I'm pretty sure I will find something to do.

  9. Actually, flying out of DUB not WAT. Doug, there is a very good chance will be in Scotland before heading to Ireland, which may time it at around the time you get back, I believe. We are leaving the June 2 and returning June 16. CanJam is a definite no go this year.
  10. 4 rt tickets Miami to London and Dublin to Miami.
  11. The best falafel. I go there every time I'm in the City. I first started to go there when I was in high school.
  12. I fought the bitter cold and a bit of vertigo to take some pics with the 70-200: Posted this one because it would have been great had I got the exposure right:
  13. And the lens is pretty large and heavy so the IS is very good. I was hoping to get out and take pics today but it's rainy and 44 degrees.
  14. Thanks. They are all pretty weak compared to some I've seen taken, although those were usually done with strobes set up and more experienced photographers. I'm trying to learn to take the pics first then worry about touch ups. I was just happy I was able to stop the action as my last pics were blurry on the edges of the wrestlers.
  15. They were all handheld but the lens has IS. At some of the tournaments, like this one, my ability to get close is limited. Not sure it was testicles he had in his hand in that last one.
  16. This says it all.
  17. Here are some pics with the 70-200 2.8 IS. Some are with an old flash unit my brother lent me and some are without, shooting at 2.8 and 160, with an ISO of 1600. I probably mixed up some of them in terms of flash or not. I also used the sports setting for the pics with the flash and manual for those without flash (first time taking pics on M). No flash and I was probably 100 feet away from the action: Here are some more without flash, some of them I was significantly closer to the action: These were closer, no flash: From the stands with flash: From the stands, no flash:
  18. That is entirely possible. To know us is to love us.
  19. The problem is I would have to drive back after tasting the plethora of stuff. You do recall the condition you were in after this event last year.
  20. That's what I'm thinking. Drive up early Friday, pick up my allotment and head back home.
  21. Yeah, Axpona is 3/5 to 3/7 which I plan to attend. The Brewers Guild Festival is 3/6 and the Brewers Ball is 3/7. I would have to drive back on Sunday after a bunch of drinking and that would not work. The next issue is I want to be up there the following week for the CCB release. I guess that will be a day trip.
  22. It sounds like a done deal.
  23. Hell yes!
  24. Mark, thanks. The lens arrives tomorrow. I have the 7 million. It is a nice bag. I also picked a Crumpler backpack for photo gear.
