David Berning headphone amp
I am not sure what you mean by voiced for headphones. Generally, headphones and speakers like similar things, just in different quantities. Lots of power, flat response, low output impedance, low noise, enough, but not too much gain.

The point of infinite baffle is that the backwave can never interact with the frontwave. In the speaker world, there are people who use a wall of their house as the baffle, with the speaker tightly sealed to a cutout in said wall. Front of the speaker goes into the listening room, back either outside or into some other area of the house.

And since when did an aardvark baguette strike you as haute cuisine?

Infinite baffle = sealing earpads with no ports.

DIY cable gallery
I would think the capacitance of the taket, especially with the transformer box, would swamp cable capacitance effects.

Beyer T1
Got to hear these today at NYC, was really underwhelmed. Kinda sounded, I dunno, woolly to me. I don't even know if that is an audio term, but thats what they sounded like. Should have snagged them and listened on a different rig, just had the Beyer and some Headroom amps, and I think some onyko cdp or something. They were in the MOT room though, and I am not too familiar with how most MOT gear sounds, and I didn't care enough to take them outside in the rain to the member room, if I even could have gotten away with doing that. Really, really dug the frame though, so comfy.

Review of 404LE - can't really find it
That doesn't sound like something most of us would care to do, or be of real benefit. Why would we want limited headphones we may want to become harder and more expensive to purchase? I guess maybe get Stax to give us more new stuff, but they don't seem to care what people on forums (at least in this country) want. Yeah, that sounds fun. What is this 404 mk2 though? I dunno what it was, but I too didn't care for the SR202 either really when we last heard them.

What did you do today?
Dan, you figured me out. I actually spent the whole meet wearing a rubber monkey suit, pretending to be Dinny. Alas, no free dacsies at the end of the rainbow, simply more rain, and no rainbow.

What did you do today?
The suit was completely unrelated to the headphone meet, and was the day before.

I do definitely prefer the shape of the SR404sig pads, and am even an unabashed SR404sig fan. The ltd, while sounding quite good, just didn't fit as nicely or be as comfortable.

Review of 404LE - can't really find it
The SR404LE are very nice headphones, I actually got to listen to a few tracks today in relative quiet during the not so silent auction, using JP#'s tubed exstata and Ari's cdp-deq2496, and really dug it. A certain redhead, who shall remain unnamed, sounded simply superb.

What did you do today?
Yeah, I know! It was amazing, an hour in the rain and I learned that both my suit and suitcase both seem to be made of gortex or something, because while my face and feet were wet, I actually remained basically dry, and after dragging my suitcase through many a puddle, and having it trail behind me receiving no protection from my umbrella, nothing was even damp when I finally made it to the hotel!

What did you do today?
Yesterday: Bus to NYC, met some people, amazing sushi, good beer, got lost in Queens 8 miles from my hotel for an hour in the rain towing a huge sack of gear, took an expensive and totally worthwhile taxi ride, and went to be super early (before midnight!). Today: Woke up super early (8am!), set up gear, chatted with a bunch of cool folks, acknowledged the existence of headphones, got soaked in the pouring rain, just got on my bus heading home.

I would too, even just for reasons which do not relate to the sound.
