  5. IMO it's very possible Apple follows the same path as Sony did. Going from producing innovative hardware to trying too hard into the contents business. They still will make great gear if they keep things simple as in a small company so they can move fast and being the first to introduce something fresh, practical and interesting. So the question they need to answer is, what's next? then doing it fast, reliable and easy to use. As far as Jobs is alive they can still surprise us, but once he passes away, I'm not that sure they're able to move as fast and precisely as they're doing now.

  13. LOL, I'd agree if docs had been here from South America for the last 50 years In maybe 20 years most generalists will be. Jacob, don't play the tough guy, pain prolongs recovery since increases distress. Ask for more painkillers when needed, that's what I recommend patients. Some pain, specially knowing when it's getting worse, helps to detect when things are going wrong, but that's all its "utility".

  15. No worries Jacob, I can understand you very well. It sucks when you're really screwed up and nobody pays attention, worse if it's their job. However it's always difficult for a MD getting a clear and accurate picture of a patient. Some people are tough enough to have a tooth removed without anesthesia, and others will scream like a wee baby for getting a shot in their buttock. I can't speak of other EU countries. In this one I can assure you that only oncological patients get as much opiate as they need. Even post surgical ones are usually treated with NSAID, paracetamol and metamizol (which is very little used in the US for a rare secondary effect that is more frequent there). Here to prescribe any opiate you need to fill a lot of paperwork
  16. Jacob, the risk of suffering a respiratory standstill induced by opiates is higher (as the risk of becoming an addict) the lower the pain is, so deciding the drug and the dose is always a very conservative decision. The more the Dr knows a patient, and is familiar to his/her pain endurance or sensitivity, the easier that task becomes. It's possible your Dr didn't take your pain very seriously at first \ I think they use opiates more liberally in the US than here, where you'd hardly get vicodyn or percocet. Not even codeine is very popular but for cough relief. Glad you're feeling better. Hopefully with no stress the fissure will heal and stop aching soon.
  17. Mmm, I'm afraid it's the remastered one then. I don't think they've made a new remater this year for that HD edition. Jacob, if you get it, please let me know. Glad you like it, I got it for a recommendation elsewhere. It surpassed my expectations. Now listening, for an ASR's comment: Helloween - 7 Sinners
  18. It's on the voices where it's more noticeable. Satchmo's sounds too raspy and breathy, like forced. Ella's has some sibilances. The old remasters don't make those details too evident.
  19. The only area where I see a possible fissure is in the first two X-rays, where you say, a oblique line in the mid third of the humerus. However it could be an artifact, perhaps for the clothes or a skin fold. In any case it it's where it hurts, it's more likely it's a fissure. Giving some rest to that arm will help to tame the pain, that's sure. Hopefully percocet helps you better than vicodin.
  20. Pete, does it sound tending to bright like the remastered CD or smooth and warm like the old pre-remaster CD or the vinyl?
  21. Manuel, I hope you get well to receive the new year as it should be. Jacob, your pain sounds to me more like mechanical than a side effect of Vicodin. Not that we use that drug around here that much. If the Rx was normal and any bone damage is discarded, looking at the way you use the crutches, pressure points, forces applied, etc might help to alleviate the issue. IMHO if the pain were for a bone fissure or fracture it should have started when you had the accident. However repeating those X-Rays wouldn't be that bad.
