  2. Not that I'm needing the mobile theme, but on Chrome I can't see the style chooser button by the left low corner either.
  3. Sophie Hunger - 1983 [2010]
  4. Pink Floyd - Meddle
  5. Listened to PJ Harvey's "is this desire?" and "Stories from the City Stories from the Sea". Found both more accessible, at times more like Patti Smith. PJ is interesting nonetheless, will have to pay more listens. Now listening to Baby Huey - The Baby Huey Story
  6. ( Sorry for your friend's loss, Vicki. That's brutal. I can't imagine how screwed up must be someone having a 10 month old kid to do that. Best wishes Shelly, I hope your mom recovers soon. For your explanation it seems a pneumonia. Hopefully antibiotics do their thing quickly.
  7. Thanks Ian, will try later. Listened to Dry. Still aggressive in a different way than Ani DiFranco, but interesting, still not sure why. I'm not specially fond of raged music.
  8. Opeth - Ghost Reveries
  9. Thanks for the suggestions Dusty. Despite her very aggressive style, there's something in her music -at least yesterday night under the influence of some ethanol- which I found interesting enough for more investigation. We'll see. I've listened to some Beatles and Elvis Presley now starting this: Huey Lewis and the News - Fore! A nostalgia exercise. It's cloudy, rainy and cold here...
  10. No idea Al, this is the first PJ album I'm listening to in my life. I'm kind of surprised since I was expecting something more like Joanna Newsom or Regina, but is more like Chrissie Hynde on premenstrual anger, but without any commercial concessions ala Alanis. According to AMG this is the album to start with Let's see what her fans have to say

  15. Great. If any, I'd expect it to be more for the arm than the own deck. Congratulations. I wish you have a lot of fun with it
  16. Looks great too Mike. Any significant differences from the all-aluminum one?
  17. Charlie Haden Quartet West - Sophisticated Ladies [2010]

I'd say paracusia is more of abnormal auditory perception -different than just hypoacusia- than just hallucinations. You have Willis paracusia, which consists in hearing better in a noisy environment (like a train or bar) than in a quiet one, Weber paracusia, which is not hearing well when you're chewing and your voice resonates excessively, and a few more which I can't recall right now.
  21. ^ Fantastic disc Stereolab - Not Music
  22. I don't know who had the idea first. I've listened to some of those IsoMike recordings, which while musically didn't do much for me, I must admit sounded very natural space-image wise, for dynamics and timbrically. However I listened to them on speakers, so can't say what's the system performance on phones.
  23. That Jecklin disk reminds me a lot of the Kimber's IsoMike system. I don't know if results are similar.
