Sounds great, Ian, glad you had fun even at the cost of lack of sleep! I have two shows at much more civilized times this weekend. Tomorrow night we are seeing Joshua Redman and Brad Mehldau dueting, and Mikeymad will be joining Claire, Alden and me. Sunday night is Jim Hall Quartet celebrating his 80th birthday. Grahame and Joanne are joining Claire and me for that one, so it is a Head-Case SF Jazz weekend!

Well, I can't say I'm all that certain what is going on with my hip after seeing the doctor. She seemed pretty certain it was trochanteric bursitis but then switched to gluteal tendonitis, even though she wasn't certain that pain both in the groin and on the opposite side of the hip could be caused by the latter. She said that some anti-inflammatories would be the first step in either case. I guess I will see if this does anything, and it is going to really hamper moving into the house if this remodel is really done this week.

Not bad. More like $46 round these parts. I don't think I have tried that expression, although I was on a Glenmorangie kick years ago after touring the distillery.

I've been damn curious, but I use Chartreuse in cocktails and do not drink it neat as an aperitif/digestif so I tend to think it would be a waste for me.
