  1. Jon Lord. Whitesnake.
  2. Townes is a great album. Georgia Ann Muldrow -- Ocotea
  3. Hey Doug, here is the list of some BrewDog treats they will have tonight. Any thoughts in particular? I had Tokyo at DanJam, and I might have tried Chaos Theory in a bottle before. Rarities on tap: Tokyo and Paradox Isle of Arran. Rarities in the bottle: Tokyo, Paradox Isle of Arran, Chaos Theory.
  4. Are you Dallan on Head-Fi? Why the new name?

Psst, Grahame, they're called the Blackhawks. It's an American thing.

  8. Dew eet seely Monkeeeee!
  9. $249 for a discrete SS amp or $349 for a SET tube amp? Pretty amazing if they sound good. Thanks for flagging them Smegs, I applaud your ability to wade through the mass of shit on HF to find the good Shiit.

Nice shots Grahame! Your tourist shots seem more inspired somehow.
  11. Eddie Current Transcription Amplifier phono stage. My Mayberry rig will now be Craig Uthus from source to speakers: Dual TT > Eddie Current TA > Moth 300B Paradigm Amplifier > Moth Cicadas. I just need to wrestle that Moth DAC away from Craig sometime and I could add the digital side into the Uthus mix. Purchased the TA from JP who already has seller's remorse even though he hasn't shipped it yet.
  12. Still unpersuaded on the iPhone 4. Maybe later, or not at all. But if my daughter's original iPhone craps out (which she was saying may be the case this morning) then I will get the 4 and give her my 3GS. Win Win.
  13. Obviously. Assholes. Welcome home, Mike. Glad the Big Mac is back in action and that you are enjoying a nice brew. Tell us more about the trip one of these days, and how goofy Doug is on his home turf.
  14. Greg, Horace Silver Quintet & Trio is coming out in the Analogue Productions Hoffman/Gray reissues this August, so I would wait for that one. Horace Scope and Horace Silver And The Jazz Messengers are both available from Classic Records and are not on the MM or AP collections lists that I have seen. Those are both good picks, and I may actually buy them with Classic going the way of the Dodo. The Cool Struttin' in the Music Matters series is not mono to my recollection, and it is not listed as OOP. That is the one I would buy (and did). Cheers.
  15. Herbie Hancock -- Empyrean Isles
  16. Turkey & bacon sammich on Kaiser roll.
  17. Belated happy birthday, by the way. If you need to sell any of your unopened rare whiskies, just let me know!
  18. Nice Salty!
  19. Devo -- Something For Everybody
  20. Oh yeah, now I remember.
  21. Is that your humiliation jersey?
  22. Let's just call him DannyPete from now on.
  23. Decided to stick with new releases today by bands with the word "brothers" in their name: Pernice Brothers -- goodbye Killer I like this band anyway, but the first song -- Bechamel -- just caught my attention in a good way. Great word and the lyrics are funny.
  24. It's ok, you're probably still drunk from that Heine and Guinness you had the other night.
