It would really suck if he was dead and just propped up on stage. He's 83 years young and I am hoping he can still blow. Here's the quartet for Saturday: Lou Donaldson alto saxophone Randy Johnston guitar Akiko Tsuruga Hammond B-3 organ Fukushi Tainaka drums

Without realizing I had been linked over to HF, I started to post this there: Nice, Ed. I wonder if Steve ever found the d-_-b reference. Luckily, I had hit preview by accident and then realized where I was.
  4. Yay Scott. By tomorrow, Claire may be signing a contract for four classes and will be back in the program she has worked on all year. Or she may have no job at all. Who know. Such a frickin roller coaster.

You and Gene should link up and have a drink while waiting for me to arrive at 3:45. Thus speaketh the DOTU.
  6. New album, lots of singing. I had tickets to see her last Friday but got back from NYC too late and couldn't go.

The locals and the organizers are supposed to take care of us Travel Team members, so I wouldn't worry about it. If you happen to have a bottle of bitters that is less than 4oz then bring that along , but otherwise just expect that there will be plenty available. KG alone is bringing cases of whisk(e)y to my understanding and expectation, and I have to imagine that Jim & Co. realize that their budget allows for liquid refreshments for the Team. If they fail us, then we will buy for ourselves.
  8. I'm Postjack, and I'm a PC. Actually, the self-righteousness of Apple bothers me too but I am happy with my Apple products and have succumbed to the iPad as a smaller, easier solution for portable computing than either a netbook or my horrid work laptop.

This time next week, I will [more] desperately be wishing my it was time to leave for CanJam. Alas, I will be working through next Wednesday, and probably on the plane to Chicago as well.

Too bad our memories of Chicago will not include you. Well, except for the life-sized cutout photo of you that we will be bringing around with us and posing with hookers and the like. Anybody else realize that this in NEXT WEEK?!
  22. Somebody had one at the Boston meet and I checked it out briefly. I thought it was a nice solution but I like the TTVJ Slim and Pico Amp/Dac combos better.
  23. The Sadies -- Darker Circles
