You can also show the barista the coupon on your mobile device, don't forget. I have seen the lines at B&J free cone day and they are ridiculous.
  3. AND . . . Friggin awesome. What's it sound like!?
  4. I had forgotten about the CJ give-away. A separate thread would be fine. I like jazz, 80's rock and classic rock in that order. Don't need any more classical vinyl because we have boxes of my late father-in-law's and it is such a PITA to play anything because of all the record flipping.
  5. Let's be more precise. It's actually a jitter elimination whatchmacallit.

    That's where you are wrong.
  7. No shit, Mr. "I was a scared noob once too, and now I like it here because everyone is so nice now that Rainbow Brite is the site admin, and no shovels have..." THWACK! You better buy me a beer at CJ10 or I will taunt you a second time!
  8. Looking at the pic on my shitty Dell monitor, I thought that was the molten engine flowing onto the street!
  9. This guy claims to live in a jungle and be a multi-instrumentalist Dr. Doolittle with a tricked out SoundBlaster for a source, and everybody is just playing nice-nice and not calling him out on any of this shit? What the fuck is wrong with Head-Case these days?! Lost its edge, apparently. Just kidding, actually. Welcome to the 'Case, but pics of the Manx and coon playing with your kids or you're banned!
  10. Yeah, but Justin obviously sucks at meet photography. For Colin. He wiped out all the zombies wielding a TooleAudio amp as a bludgeon. Poor Hirsch.

At least if you are confronted with many topless women from 60s/70s Playboy spreads.
  12. That's not a stand-off, that was right when the zombie virus took hold and they were momentarily paralyzed. Seconds later, Hirsch ripped that guy's head open and ate his brain.
  13. Congrats More-Than-Round-Hole-Cutter Tech!
  14. Update on birthday happenings. Woke up and had coffee but learned that brunch was part of the mystery events of the day. Gifts turn out to be mostly today's events (memories, not material things), but I also got a gorgeous Paul Smith tie that my wife and daughter bought at Takeshimaya in NYC last week. Brunch was at the Presidio Social Club and next up is the King Tut exhibit -- saw the first exhibit 30 years or so ago. Tonight is dinner at a new restaurant called Farmer Brown and the ballet with my wife. Wow, busy day.
  15. I love liberries! That one looks especially cool. They have a lot of music and DVDs these days, which is a cool side benefit.
  16. I keep meaning to get those shoes! Well, since you guys started early, I'll fill you in on the events of birthday eve. I went to City Beer Store and got some good beer for the weekend and had a couple half pints while shopping. Then made some cocktails for wifey and me. Grabbed a quick dinner with the kids before Ric/blessingx came over to go see Keith Jarrett play at Davies Symphony Hall. Beautiful music but the performance was marred by Jarrett's diva temperament combined with an oddly rowdy crowd. He was trying to record and stopped several "quiet" songs to complain about the audience coughing too much. When he really seemed upset and was talking down to the crowd, somebody shouted "just play!" and then a lot of people started shouting -- including things like "you're an asshole!" and "I want my money back!" -- he then sat down after saying there seemed to be something go on with San Francisco, and asked for requests and played some standards and seemed grumpy but slowly got over it. Then he played 5 separate encores to a lot of cheering and such, although the first one, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, seemed rather mocking of SF. Oh well, temperamental artist or not, he can play. Tomorrow will be family fun, a secret jaunt, and the ballet in the evening. We'll see if Yuan Yuan Tan storms off the stage in her Little Mermaid costume. Cheers, and thanks for the well wishes.
  17. Happy Birthday Robot Bro! Today you get to have your Extermicake and eat it too! Cheers!
