That does suck, Mr. DIYer. Running and then sharp pain in knee means go to the doctor in my book. With my recent experience, I would think you should get an MRI pronto. Hope it feels better soon.

From the other place, here are the details just for convenience. Asr: you should print out this new version of the table chart. Thanks. Meet in 2 days! Date/Time: Saturday February 27th from 9:30am to 6pm Location: DoubleTree Hotel, 835 Airport Blvd., Burlingame, California, United States 94010-9949 San Francisco Hotels - Hotels near San Francisco Airport - Doubletree San Francisco Airport I am attaching a room layout with my best shot at a distribution of the available space. Please stick to the table assignments and if there is some need to re-jigger we will assess that on Saturday. Asr will be in charge of opening the room hopefully around 9am and will hopefully have a copy or two of the layout. If you plan to attend and do not see your name on the Attendee List below, please post in this thread and we will add you. If you are hoping for some room to show your gear on a table and do not see your name on the room layout and your stuff in the Gear List below, please post in this thread and we will try to fit you in. On the other hand, if you said you want table space and now cannot make the meet or do not intend to bring gear, or I just put you on the chart and you really do not want any table space, post that up too so we can plan to use the space for somebody else. Drive safely Ken, and no off-roading on the way! Michael and JP, you will be missed. In fact, I am going to have to drink a lot to forget the pain.

Collins, Cray & Copeland -- Showdown! This is a kick-ass album.

Yes and yes! I think Joshua Redman playing solo in Grace Cathedral friday night is almost a match for live music, plus we have Mayberry, a meet, Buddhist Brunch, Pliny the Younger (and a bazilion other beverages) and each other!

HD Tracks and Linn Records sites. HRX is not for download but those are some amazing hi-rez recordings that can be ordered online.

A bit of a clamp but not too much. Overall pretty light and comfortable. Probably right on that, Gene. No, and I really don't think there is much I can say after a couple hours on the head and most of a day of breaking in. It seemed a little lighter on bass upon first putting them on to both me and a musician friend who listened for a few minutes. He thought the mids and upper mids were the most prominent with a lot of detail especially on the high end. He is not a headphone geek but he uses them all the time when making/recording music. I'd mostly agree with him, and I will post random comments as they break in. Others will be hearing them this week and at the meet on Saturday so some more thoughts will be available. I'm not really going to try to do so, but the mesh is over some kind of stiff backing so it is not like the HD800.

The back of the cups is a very fine wire mesh in a herringbone pattern. My favorite part of the design is the T1 cutout. Some nice Ethiopian Hair Sheep pads would be a good upgrade and might make the bass pick up some.

By "it" do you mean all of that above^^ ? No, I don't think it can synthesize and symbolize an idiom, era or any discernible group of people. But I wasn't offering it as another example of your hypothesis. I just happen to be listening to it.

Wow, you are a traveling fool! That show will be awesome. Try not to be so drunk that you fall asleep. I've heard about that happening there. Hawt! Who needs blemished HF1-2s?! Fucking fuckity fuck! Moar gin is obviously needed.

Holy shit, now I am jealous I cannot go to that meet!

These are cool looking, but I am in the minority that likes the HD800's looks. The cable is hefty, split L/R all the way to the plug, which is a Neutrik. The cable reads: Peacock MKII2x2x0, 22mm2 (AWG24) - audio [aes/ebu] - OFC by Sommer Cable - Germany Seems odd about the aes/ebu reference on the cable, but what do I know. Definitely going to balance these into a 4-pin XLR.

Milt Jackson -- The Prophet Speaks Sounds pretty damn good on the T1 fresh out of the box.
-
I'm going to need one of these as a headphone stand. Todd came through and the T1 arrived today. The case is spectacular, and probably my favorite headphone case I own. The actual T1 headphones are much smaller than I expected, and I understand Todd's comment about people with big ears now. Comfortable on the head, and my ears do fit inside the cups, but I can feel them a bit. Might get used to it and not notice pretty quickly. Nice fit-n-finish, though, and an appealing design aesthetic. Sound pretty good out of the box, but pretty polite so far. Not much like other Beyers, which is a good thing as Padam says. Here are some iPhone pics just to show the unveiling.
