If you buy two more iPads, upon receipt there will be an immediate announcement by Apple that they were just kidding with that MBP refresh notice. The real MBP will be 13", with an i7 stock, and a new carbon fiber body that weighs 1.5 lbs. Oh, and it comes with a free iPad even though the price will be lower than the prior 13" Macbook.

I think of all these guys as great contemporary bassists, although I am not sure all meet your Ray Brown criteria, per se. The iPads at the Apple Store were disgusting. Just think of the germs being transmitted with all those people fingering them. Eww. Reminds me of something a friend of mine overheard on a plane from India. The man in the seat ahead of him was hitting the flight attendant call button on and off for awhile without reaction. When someone finally showed up, he said "I have been fingering the stewardess for over an hour and she is not yet coming." Not quite as funny without his excellent accent, but you get the idea.

Jeff/VPI and I went to the Giants opening day game until the 9th inning and followed the remaining four innings from City Beer where we had some Pliny but also some Burton Baton (1st for both of us). We strolled to the Haight and we are having dinner at RNM. Toronado for afters perhaps.
