Trek Domane

 

The blue lick road section looks like fun.

It was a blast! Funny thing was that if you asked people what they thought of it, the triathletes hated it and the riders with mtb experience loved it.

Last week I rode a 50 mile loop around San Diego on my old 37 pound Trek Hybrid.

That convinced me to get something a bit more agile.  

Took it for a 20 mile shakedown ride. The Fuji is relatively light, fast and comfortable too!

 

Can't wait to log another 50 today and tomorrow, gotta lose some more poundage.

Did 16.5 in an hour tonight from my house to York. Went to pick up my truck I'd loaned someone. I did confirm that I can't ride to church and be at all presentable when I get there. (This was about 2 blocks from my church)

I am finally having my oak removed so I am out too.

So it looks like Me, Dan and his buddy for Schaeffer at 10:30 Saturday morning.

I'll be riding a metric on sat, hope you guys have fun at Schaeffer!

Well the guys screwed up some paperwork and brought a crane that was too small. Two weeks more now.

Me - sold my car so I took the bike along for the last car ride and rode it 17 miles home.  I'm hoping to log some serious commuting miles in the coming two months while my wife is on summer vacation.  

Everyone survived Schaeffer Farms, though Dan's son came close to a spectacular bike failure on a downhill.  I can now confirm that Dan and his son are easily 6,842% better mountain bikers than Brent.  

Was a good time.  Amazing Thomas survived losing the end of his skewer without even wrecking.  I could have done withtout the half mile "Brent Bike"
