May 6, 201511 yr Maybe they are so po they can't afford the bread? *edit* Ok, I now see the bread underneath the lettuce. Really really tiny bread. Edited May 6, 201511 yr by Augsburger
May 6, 201511 yr The roll is at 90 degrees to the lobster, but that is the only real distinction I can see from every other po boy I have ever seen. Edited May 6, 201511 yr by Voltron
May 10, 201511 yr Pan seared, 24 hour smoked pork belly with sauerkraut purée, pineapple vinaigrette, dandelion, pickled radish and chicarron.
May 10, 201511 yr ^That looks awesome Mike! Mother's Day brunch a la Alden and Al: Tyler Florence eggs benedict with cayenne hollandaise and prosciutto, bacon, hash browns, and fruit.
May 10, 201511 yr In honor of mother's day, I am cooking for myself. Orange chicken with water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. This shit has been marinating for two weeks, sure hope I don't give myself food poisoning (it smelled fine).
May 10, 201511 yr Mother's day dinner after my symphonic band concert. I told her I'd take her anywhere she wanted, and she chose Red Lobster. I think I had Cajun chicken linguini alfredo, fried shrimp, and some other chicken thing. Also, had a Bacardi Citron Strawberry Lemonade. Mom loved it, and that's what matters. **BRENT**

That is a Red Lobster thing, innit? Been a while since I been...
May 11, 201511 yr Most hushpuppies have onions in them, making them a worthless food. The last time I went to Red Lobster was probably 5 years ago when my now late grandmother gave me a gift card to there; it was her favorite restaurant. I'm sure I'll go again the next time my mom gets to pick. I'm still pretty full from eating 5 hours ago. Such a bad idea. **BRENT**
May 12, 201511 yr Onions would make them better, but I don't remember there being onions in hush puppies, though I could just be oblivious. Me, now: home cooked green curry veggies and chicken (green beans, okra, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots) -- hot! I need to figure out a way to temper this curry paste, one can of coconut milk does not cut it
May 12, 201511 yr Aren't onions a staple food of your people? I think it's your mama that took a wrong turn...

All include onions, including the Red Lobster hush puppy recipe. Dan is right, though. Onions belong in many places; the garbage, landfills, etc. They do not, however, belong in hush puppies. Unfortunately, most places ruin a perfectly good side by putting onions in them. **BRENT**
