November 6, 201114 yr Well this here thread has turned out to be a lot more than I bargained for, but I'm not complaining in the least. I'm actually really glad to get so much feedback on the current market estimate of cost/value for these products and it helps a lot. I gotta say I'm leaning toward that Pico right now or a Bifrost. Has anyone had a chance to compare these two DACs directly and would care to comment? Any NFB DACs worth considering in this range?
November 6, 201114 yr you've really got to be kidding me, you bump a thread that is 3.5 years dead and buried to ask you question. Did you even read your welcome pm. see ya
November 6, 201114 yr I linked to this thread in a current thread about the Predator, so I think that is why he bumped it. Probably meant to post it in the current thread?
December 21, 201114 yr How did you all get these figures on number of units sold? Are they really that low? I thought the market was bigger than that.
December 21, 201114 yr Yeppers. Are they low because the amps had just been released? Or maybe i think theres more headphone obsessed freaks than there really are.
December 21, 201114 yr Yeppers. Are they low because the amps had just been released? Or maybe i think theres more headphone obsessed freaks than there really are. i sell, averaged, between 1 and 2 Picos per day. it's also possible to sell 5 in a day (dealer orders excluded). it's also possible to go 2 weeks without selling any. i'm sure some manufacturers sell more, and many others sell less. the market is not very big. the serial #s on my amps are sequential so it's not hard to figure out Pico (amp, and DAC/Amp) - 1452 Pico USB DAC - 215 Pico Slim - 655 Edited December 21, 201114 yr by justin
December 22, 201114 yr 95% of the population probably doesn't even know what a headphone amp is. 99,7% might be more accurate.
