Very nice, CJ.

Did she kick your sorry ass after that shoot for breaking into the gym?  :)

My daughter (almost 12) is on the yearbook staff at her magnet school. Her grade went on a field trip to the Atlanta Aquarium, and she was one of four people allowed to take a camera. I set her up wit

I've hardly taken photos in the last however many years, but what I have been doing since I got this shiny M1 Macbook Pro is blowing the dust off my editing skills. July 1, 2006, the first

2009 was one of the craziest years of my life, paralleling 1996.  I should do a photo essay on it.  That'd take more time than I have, so here's a Cliff's Notes version. The year started fairly i

One of the most beautiful places I've seen. Fantastic!

It is one of the most wonderful places I have ever been to. Julie and I hope we can get back there some day. It's a small island but even in the 10 days we spent there, we barely scratched the surface.

For those of you not on FB or G+, I have posted a bunch of photos to my blog from my recent travels through Colorado. I've got a lot better stuff coming in the pipeline from this trip, so what you see is just a tip of the iceberg to give people an idea of conditions out here. Enjoy:

^ Had not heard of that before but I'm very interested as I'd love better image quality in that form factor.

Like the guy commenting at the bottom of the blog post though I'd like to get some unprocessed raw images before putting down that kind of money.

The idea seems great, but the actual camera would be a bit too large to fit into a pocket as the RX-100 or the iPhone does.

Ergonomically it looks horrible but I think the image quality is the biggest decider for me. No one has seen raw files. To plop down the same amount of money as one would for an x100 series without seeing what the camera can really do is absurd.

Just to be clear it's only $199 reserve now, rest due near shipping next summer, you can drop out at any time, and can test with the camera two months before deciding to keep/return. So the risks at this point aren't exactly high, are they?

I knew about the reservation price but didn't know the part about the 2 month trial period. Shall investigate it. If I can get my money back, then sure, I'll support a new company.

Peter, what was the lens aperture used to get that Sunstar?

 That was f/16 on a Nikon 50/1.8G

Quite proud of this one. A fair amount of work went into it. Doesn't look nearly as effortless as Peter's work but happy with how it turned out nonetheless.
