Micro Seiki MB-14 table - $135 NAD C3020 - ~$200.. I remember prices Castle Pembroke speakers - $340 $675 isn't bad and that Micro Seiki table kills the Zhaolu 2.5A I had. Dusty Chalk Posted July 31, 2008 Report Share Posted July 31, 2008 M-Audio Transit + some active monitors, perhaps Quad 12L's if you don't mind needing a sub (which you should get later, otherwise it will put you over), or something else that has level control (not the Mackie HR824 -- they have input sensitivity controls, which is not the same thing, although with the Mackies, then you wouldn't need a sub). Actually, Mackie came out with a tiny little version of their biggest selling mixer -- the 402VLZ3 -- that could be used as a preamp, for only US$100.
