It was estimated that his food business generated close to 90 million or possibly more for various charities and causes. He will be dearly missed. The fame never went to his head. There was a great Iconoclast episode recently with Robert Redford discussing Paul's life. The interview with the two of them is very worth seeing. Paul Newman was also one of my favorite older actors, and a real role model in terms of how to deal with fame/Hollywood in your personal life. I was sad to hear this. He didn't even take up the sport professionally until he was 47, and placed second in the 24 Hours of Daytona when he was well into his 70's. An amazing all around human being who will be missed.
