I just got off the phone with Klaus at Odyssey. What a nice guy. Probably spent about 45 minutes with me. He has a new line coming out and gives 100% credit on upgrades. He has a pair of Odyssey Statos Mono Extremes with some additional upgrades coming in as a trade which, assuming all goes well at the end of the year, will be mine. I'm sending a small deposit in the next week or so. I will wait to see if these amps are any good but I can say that Klaus was a pleasure to deal with.

I talked to him about phono preamps as well. He was talking up the Kismet pre big time. That will have to wait a while. It's $2500.

I keep wanting to try out some ICEpower amps to see how they compare to my vintage McIntosh. I wish I had taken the advantage of NHT Power 2 sale. Maybe I'll sell the Mac to fund one, assuming I ever figure out a good way to ship the monstrosity.

I highly doubt I'll actually do it - I like the amp too much. Wouldn't mind adding another MC2100 or 2105, though. Too bad their prices are higher now, at least on A'gon.
