Ah - the good old battleship grey Cambridge Audio livery. It was panned by the reviewers, as were the buttons on the CD player (they described them as reminiscent of poking dead flesh). Very unfair, b

  • I dunno, can i post this here? The leather was just an idea - making some matching wood pulls would be cool - maybe when things die down at M&O of course my speaker cables are too short

This design looks really interesting, sans the DeWalt table saw stand.

Most pitcher plants need to be kept moist at all times.

There is a mom joke in there somewhere.

At yeast you refrained from making me picture it.

Google Lens suggested the power amps are the Mark Levinson Nº33

The pre amps look like Mark Levinson's of a similar vintage / aesthetic

No, but I'll make a guess as to that guy's penis size.

Even Madrigal/Mark Levinson (like the No33 spec) have performance data generated by muppets. RMS Power - there is no such thing. Well you could in principle calculate RMS Power - but it is a meaningless number.

The only meaningful audio power is Average Power. See for example https://www.analog.com/en/analog-dialogue/raqs/raq-issue-177.html

Mr. TV Size Queen here has got his speakers pushed too far into the corners.  Also, I suspect that's not a good spot for the sub.

And the off axis  imaging of those pet feeders must be terrible!

Actually a screen with a short throw projector.

Definitely terrible speaker placement.

All comes down to if that ceiling vent is open or closed.

But which one is the sub. one?

.  Germany.

The Germans  have a word for that. Zimmerporno, also Lautsprecherporno

as in

So viel Zimmerporno wie Lautsprecherporno.

These Buchardt Audio Anniversary 10 are supposed to be amazing. The bass is said to be phenomenal. Very low without being boomy. They're active, bluetooth and have an internal DAC and streamer. Future-fi.

When I first saw them, I thought the woofer was blown out.

$4,000 ish.

Different tuning can be had through the App.

That's really neat, but I am suspect of any device that requires an app to make full use of its features.  We're already seeing things from "smart" bulbs to door locks to ...musical Christmas lights that no longer work because the app that controlled them is no longer on the Android/iOS store.  I'd not want to be the owner of two chunks of $4000 e-waste.
