I hope that's your code name for a 50-50 mixture of bourbon and lemonade.

ah man.. Shelly has put me on the spot... was about to start my whisky evening... but I was going to have all Peated... but as you might have guessed I like Macallan.. oh well....

Sorry to mess things up. :) Wish I had some better Macallan to toast but the 12 will have to do. Cheers!

And yep - there is beverage in the glass

The peat begins...

That does sound good Marc. I need to pick up a bottle of Cocci Torino this weekend.

It's a strong vermouth, like Carpano.

I think in fact it's better though.

Time to mellow the peat in some sherry:

--> Caol Ila 14yo 1993 (46%, Murray McDavid, 1993-07, sherry)

Bowmore death match... 15yo edition...

--> Bowmore 15yo 1988 ( 46%, Douglas Laing, Provenance, single cask 1073 in box 88-03 )

--> Bowmore 15yo 1989 ( 50%, Douglas Laing, OMC, in box 276 bottles 2.89-3.04 cask ref 905 )

I like it much better and it isn't in 1 liter bottles either. ;)

Wow, wish I wasn't working on learning about a new case so I could drive over to Mikey's and join the Peat Fest.

Clear winner --- 89 Old Malt Cask (OMC) -- a touch of sherry and 50% made all the difference...

Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter...one of the better brews they do, but not amazing...

Rogue XS Old Crustacean 2008...not bad:)...impressive bottle...it's like weightlifting...

Death Match two for Bows:

--> Bowmore 22yo (43%, Original Bottling, "Moonlight" ceramic bottle in box)

--> Bowmore 25yo (43%, Original Bottling, Ceramic bottle (Moonlight))

well the 22 had some small issues (maybe open a touch too long) ... 25 is winner...

kicking up the Peat notch to 11...

--> Ardbeg Uigeadail 54.2% (bottle code - L8 254) -- bottle killed...

--> Ardbeg 1990 46% Airigh Nam Beist (bottle code - L7 326).
