September 23, 201114 yr Author B22 shipping tomorrow morning. Never heard the LCD2 with B22, but I bet it's a nice combo. Awesome! Wait... don't you have LCD2s?
September 23, 201114 yr Sweet, thanks! The B22 is paid for and I just ordered some LCDs from TTVJ. Until I can really decide on what to use as a source it looks like: MBA > iBasso D10 Aux (lol) > B22 > LCD-2.2 Don't laugh, but I'm really considering a Wadia or Cambridge iPod dock, as source to my Beta22. It would just de-clutter my listening area greatly.

September 24, 201114 yr The β22 and LCD’s go together like flies on shit. A hearty congratulation to your most excellent purchase. Edited October 5, 201114 yr by johnwmclean
September 26, 201114 yr It's cool seeing a thread like this about a rig for 4k instead of a bassy phone for 25.
September 27, 201114 yr Author It's cool seeing a thread like this about a rig for 4k instead of a bassy phone for 25. Funny you should say that. My friend came to me today for help picking headphones and her budget was $25. haha
September 30, 201114 yr Author Any opinions on the PS Audio PWD? Seems nice on paper, time to dig for some info.
September 30, 201114 yr I think the Monkey is pretty happy with his. I've not read a bad review of it.
September 30, 201114 yr Got mine a month or two ago and love it. But honeymoon is not over ... Edited September 30, 201114 yr by jvlgato

October 4, 201114 yr Author So far the B22 + LCD2.2 has been very pleasing. The sound sig is just to my liking. I was hoping they wouldn't be too bass heavy since people seem to rave about the bass on the Audeze. I was pleased to hear it's not too much as I'm not a bass head. The B22 seems to be a great pairing thus far. For shits and giggles I plugged the LCD2 straight into my iPod Shuffle () and also my D10. That was a fun little test that shows just what a great amp can do. I snagged a black PS Audio PWD new for $1700 and that should be here on Friday. Pretty psyched. Now I need to make some interconnects.
October 4, 201114 yr Really nice sounding rig. The PWD is a really nice DAC, sounds like you got a great deal on it.
October 4, 201114 yr Looks like I will be picking up Rics B22 as well as some new LCD-2s. FYI: http://www.head-fi.org/t/547674/fs-nugget-audio-b22 (see the B22 usage note)
October 4, 201114 yr Author FYI: http://www.head-fi.o...ugget-audio-b22 (see the B22 usage note) Thanks. Ric made me aware of this and I also recalled reading it a few years ago on a B22 thread somewhere. I already had a habbit of lowering the volume on all amps I've own before I do anything.
October 4, 201114 yr Sorry for the long delay. here is the MPX3 PSU, taken from my toaster-style MPX3. Its pretty much the same on the PCB. I prefer the MPX3 power supply to the supra PSU for safety and awesomeness. an extra RC cell is worth a lot in my book.
October 4, 201114 yr Sounds like a great rig, that's going to get even greater in a few days. Nice work securing awesome gear.
October 4, 201114 yr If I were buying a new rig I'd probably pick up the Beta22 that Nate built, that's for sale elsewhere. Then get the latest version of the Audeze LCD-2. Nice job recommending the exact rig he bought!

Good choice on the PWD (I presume network card?) - digital streaming is by far the best way to do computer audio (async + no interface timing error + computer not in the listening room). Once you have your UPNP server / controlling point all set up, it would be really easy to migrate to a better digital steamer (Linn Akurate, for example, or MDS-i for a one-box speaker solution - you add the speakers).

No network card. I have an 11" Mackbook Air that will be connected to the PWD with USB. I thought about the network card but I'm not sure I like the idea of the interface. I just worry about the touch interface being cumbersome.
October 5, 201114 yr Ps audio has their e-lyric software, which is free for the computer version and $9.99 for the iPhone/iPad app.
