Since I don’t know how to calculate the thermal resistance between to-252 and heat sink out into free air I made this small test. I got a clear answer. I do know Ohm's law though.

Sophie brought two babkas on her last visit: a nutella and a cinnamon and neither was the lesser. To quote another Seinfeld, they were real and they were spectacula!

Poor Elaine ...

Yep, if you had checked the theata-jc of those packages you wouldn’t have bothered with such “test”.

Thanks for notifying. The more eyes the better and… No, I missed that damage. With L-bracket it looks like this. Clearence between +400V area and ground is 40 mil. So, I doubt that there has been an electric short. I suspect that, for a reason I don’t understand, the current rushed and 10m90 quickly over heated. At the same time the PSU gave up and all went silent. I guess it’s heat from 10m90s that caused the damage. But that is a 100% guess. Anyhow, I think I stick to to220 version of 10m90s and forget this mishap.

That 10M90S decided it was done with this world and took a leap of faith! Looks like it couldn’t handle the heat.☹️ Did you check this section? Looks like it was shortened by the solder.

Milled a small board to test IXCP10M90S(TO-252). Attached board to heat sink via L-bracket and sil pad for insulation purpose of course. When increasing current to 20 mA left side its 10m90s popped and left the board completely. Found it on floor. So, no more testing regarding surface mounted 10m90s. I’m very pleased with the new mini T2 board. Here with 300B via tube adapter with filament injection, 5VAC from transformer. Works great. Nice setup, don’t you think?

I forgot to take any pics, but today Al and I made smashburgers on the flattop, and they were phenomenal! I'm going to transport the griddle to work this Saturday (customer appreciation day), and I'll recreate the burgers for the crew. Customers will be eating hot dogs grilled by another employee on a Treager, but I thought the employees deserved a little better. The burger used was Costco's 4lb. Organic beef packages, and the 80% was just right. I'm going to follow suit with grilled mushrooms and grilled onions, exactly as Al did them, because his research was spot on! I'll have a choice of cheeses as we did today. Just absolutely delicious burgers, and an epic time with my besties! Followed up with a walk through Roy's Redwoods! Great day all around.

I'm never going to say "no" to new Arcade Fire, but this is kind of underhwleming by their high standards. A few good tracks but over way too soon (42 minutes).

I didn`t check the schematic. However, the input resistors(Signal input) shouldn`t be a probably if you go with 15k or 20k.

17k smd resistors are quite hard to find. Would you recommend 20k or 15k ohm resistors? -
Tonight's Culture This one goes to 11 It's a lot easier to follow in English. Quite the performance.

https://rateyourmusic.com/release/album/八十八ヶ所巡礼/八+九/ New (?) 88kasyo junrei double album -- I recognize several of the tracks, probably because they were released as singles and I ate them up, but I'm still not sure (because language barrier, and they're weird anyway) if this is a compilation or entirely new music, but whatever, I'm loving it.

That's awesome of you Nate, and I love the antique piece. Takes one to know one. 👴🏼

^ Looking forward to. Just a clip in case it gets anyone interested in The Rehearsal. Nathan attempts to learn what makes a strong pilot from becoming Sully.

Nice work, Nate. You are a good man.

All this deferred resignation stuff has meant the departure of a few key staff members, one in particular I've worked with for nearly 15 years and deserved something more than an Irish goodbye. So I made him a little something for his retirement yesterday. That's the blank walnut, engraved/machined with the cnc machine. Finish applied, awaiting infill bits. Finished project. The middle bit is an original survey boundary marker for the island that I rescued from a demo project. It's likely way more than 100 years old. I thought he deserved to take a little piece of the place with him even if it's a little tarnished and scarred. I prefer things that way actually, probably because I resemble the description.

Have not had much time to consume TV lately but family vacation finally offered a chance to check out: Thoroughly enjoyed this, looking forward to Season 2 this fall even if a very different story arc is proposed.
