^^ Bummer. I am not sure where Bloomberg comes into play. I guess I should have backed the project to get a physical copy to share. Anyway, The basics are that there is a thriving black market for the AI GPUs in China, and none of it is illegal there. And they explored both the direct smuggling of CPU's into China, and the crazy manufacturing of Non-SKU cards for use using defect cards. I am sure that they will fight this and it could be reposted. With all that, it was a bit long, I think they could have gotten it down to about 2 hours with some proper editing.

Whelp, I got through half of it, but Bloomberg had it taken down before I could make it to Friday. So... how does it end?

Love you guys. Put in some decently hard work this week. 46 mile gravel loop Sunday around the seacoast, a few runs, and the back/forth commute today add up to over a 100 mile week and it's only Thursday. I'm a little over half way to my fund raising goal. Onward. Upward.

Yes, I noticed that too. But I found those machining marks only on the inner rear panel, left and right sides. The rest of the chassis looks clean. I’m pretty sure they just used 3-axis machining, which is still miles better than what I could do on my home-garage CNC. Of course, 5-axis is another story, and I’ve been thinking about designing some more complex curved surfaces where 5-axis paths would actually make sense. Overall though, I’m quite happy with how this chassis turned out. I haven’t yet checked all the PCB mounting hole positions against the boards, but so far it looks promising.
-
I guess the machine shop cheaped out and didn’t use 5-axis tool paths for those steep facets. Otherwise we wouldn’t see the tool marks after heavy sandblasting. This should really have been a cast part. No objections from the environmentalists from the other side of the pond? I’m surprised.

I've posted this artist before, very smooth voice and nice writing....just an easy and joyful listen.

The original Jecklin Float Electrostatic headphone wasn't much chop sonically - yes it had vast, bright dynamics, but at the expense of no bass whatsoever. Also, no-one in their right mind would wear these anywhere near a camera. They didn't hold a candle to any version of the Stax Sigma or Sigma Pro and so they were sold.

RIP to Frank Caprio, the "Kindest Judge In The World." I've seen a lot of his videos, and some of them brought me to tears. https://www.nbcboston.com/news/local/nicest-judge-frank-caprio-dies/3793798/

Good riddance.

I aim to please!! I think these are old though... but can't find anything on them.

New Doc just dropped - I am busy for the next 4 hours.

I was hopping that the latest version will be a lot better than the old I still have ... and not using. Now my hope was killed by Spritzer, thanks!

^I was today-years old when I found out this type of thing existed!

the problem of Reference Amplifier for Electrostatic"
kevin gilmore replied to Omega_ELS's topic in Headphone Amplification
the power supply is clearly labeled as +350 and -350. so an absolute maximum of 1400 volts peak to peak stator to stator. which is 500vrms. not 630 vrms. the same as every stax amp with these power supplies. srmt1 all versions, srm717 srm727 etc. looks almost identical to the koss circuit with bipolar outputs replacing the mosfets. push pull. no idea of maximum output current. lots of opamps with huge amounts of feedback. if its cheap enough, might be worth it. probably not. -
Focus on the Family founder James Dobson croaked. Suddenly I'm in the mood to say good things about Hulk Hogan, if you take my meaning.

Hehe, this unit was never set to 115V so unless it was natively 230V, I'd doubt it. There are a few of these floating around out there though, at least 4 have sold in recent months and this one was by far the cheapest.
