While looking for something to read I happened upon a review of Mike Resnick's book Birthright: The Book of Man (1982). I don't know how this slipped under my radar. I suppose I was either under the water (On a Submarine), or in a drunken haze. In either case I'm searching for a copy to borrow. So does anyone have this book? And I suppose more importantly, is anyone willing to lend it to me? Purtty Please.

Well, I am not a father myself and not entirely sure that I will ever be one, but this day still means a hell of a lot to me and given the demographic of our group, I assume it means as much to many of you. I'm staying in National Harbor and I'll have a rental car. I wouldn't mind driving up to an hour for a good cd/vinyl record store. Also wouldn't mind recommendations for a very nice restaurant, preferably with a set menu with a good seafood entree.

Shades of Rodney Dangerfield. I have an opportunity to get Java programming certification starting this fall. I haven't been in a classroom for I dunno how many years. Of course, I'm less worried about the time away from yardwork and housework, and more concerned about being away from inhaling solder. I'm just finishing the never ending parts list for my Bijou. Gah! Oh well, I guess pc boards don't spoil in the back of the fridge. Actually might be fun, though. I'm in QA, so now the devs here will be less likely to try to sneak shit past me.

Too bad about his passing yesterday. I can't believe his wife, which he was in divorce proceedings with, actually tried to tell the judge that he wasn't as sick as he was making out to be. If you saw him on Hollywood Blvd., you could see he was pretty frail. RIP Dennis.

Hi! Some of you might already know that I started a small headphone related wiki a few years back. It is coming along nicely, but I only know so much and only have a little time to update it with info. A lot of folks joined and contributed a ton of information, but more is always better. This is basically my Modus Operandi: I am not sure how many of you want to contribute or even know about it, but if you do please join and help us all out. Sorry for posting it this here but I was hoping this might be of interest to some of you.

I am working on a little project and need to buy a 320-500gb external hard drive. Most of my usual sources seem to charge $50 and up, I would prefer $30 to $40. Thanks all. Greg
