The revised #3 seems too washed out, but that is a problem of I'd like to see a less brightened revision of no. 3, but Jeff may not have all night to fuck with this.
the only real tangible improvements were the tiling I just mentioned, and they've also cleaned up some of the ui animations. I think for "power users" with 2 or more displays it makes an even bigger difference than on my piddling laptop.
I have heard some grumbling about the un/forced sharing of user settings but I'm fine if Microsoft learns that I use gpu acceleration for my midget porn. I like to think I come out slightly positive on that exchange compared to the guy who has to data mine that information
I went though a pens phase a year or so ago, and still love and use them at my desk.
A boxed late 1940s Parker 51 Vacumatic plus matching pencil in blue
My Dad's early 1950's Parker 51 Aerometric in black
A 1988 Parker 95 Insignia
A Sheaffer PFM in blue - actually to eventually replace my original which was stolen when a student in the mid 70's
A Sheaffer 1001 Targa - actually to replace my original, bought for me by my wife in the late 70's and stolen last year.
A green marbled Conway Stewart 75 circa 1950
But I've stopped now - it is a small collection that gets used and gives me great pleasure.
Thanks Dusty. If anything the fishman loud box is overkill for my needs, which means in head-case terms its perfect. An Uke doesn't need all that much power obviously and the mini is an active pickup so there should be no signal issues. The Fishman mini has more than everything I could need, so I think we are good.
No. It really doesn't. Just because the observer and 99% of the observees agree, doesn't make it so. You have to establish a causal relationship, and test for the actual causality, rather than just statistical correlation. May I remind you: sausage factory here.
Got my new Alpine CarPlay unit installed in the Jeep. Initial impressions are only based on some very basic interactions in the driveway, but it seems like it's going to work really well. I found a good spot for the mic, and it will be really easy to add a backup camera down the road. And for now I just have the phone connected in the glove box.
A shot of the harness adapter and radio harness all soldered and heat-shrunk.
And the finished product.
It was hearing a direct comparison between the SR-009 and the HE1000 at the HeadAmp table in the SF meet up recently that made me order the HE1000 from HeadAmp. I was extremely impressed. Both had a different presentation but the HE1000 was my favorite. Thanks Iron_Dreamer for that enlightening experience.
