  4. Thank you for the warm welcome. I guess. I'm not 100 % certain, something smells fishy here.

  6. Welcome to Sepinho! I met sepinho earlier this week, passed out in a hammock with a fishing line tied around his big toe. I was minding my own business, but I noticed that he had a bite on the line, and I felt it my duty to assist the man. I grasped the line, naturally, and attempted to reel the monster in, as any decent neighbor would. I was trying hard to pull the line without disturbing sepinho, and I was succeeding. Five minutes in, I was dedicated to nothing in the world, save my task. I'd made nary a sound, and to be frank I'd lost track of time. Bystanders were wending their way around me, perplexed, but I was unbothered. When I was confident I had the beast well in hand, I risked a glance toward sepinho, only to find that the other end of the line had slipped his toe, and he was nowhere to be found! Peeved, I pulled my last with a huff and felt the quarry loose itself from the deep. What should I have expected? After my effort, I expected a significant reward -- perhaps an octopus, many-legged and delicious? It was not to be, though I was yet in for one more surprise. Rather than a fish, the line had looped around a bottle, and in that bottle a letter! I could scarce wait to loose the cork and read its contents, the lean fruit of my endeavours. What did the letter say, you ask? "See you on Head-Case!" The pique! I think this sepinho has a lot to account for here, gentlemen!

  8. Bryan, the drivers in your Algerians are dx65's, not 55's (I told you that). Completely different beast. And they are like $2000+ drivers. You are going to have to get really esoteric to beat those I'm afraid...

  11. Just listened to it -- nope, not that familiar with it. It was the same situation though, I only vaguely recognized it until they got either to the chorus or to the blatantly male line. Will listen to the rest of the album. EDIT: It can really only be one of a couple songs -- Friday I'm In Love, Let My Love Open the Door, or I Melt WIth You. Unless I don't recognize the song name.

  12. I'm going to see if I can do full long coat with her, so it should grow out fairly long and fluffy. I'll see how bad the matting gets when her adult coat is growing in before I commit to that. Watson is a single-coat dog, so though he's long, he's easy to brush out. She's a double-coat dog, so I know it will be more work to keep her tangle free. I'm just not sure when or if it will be too much for me or her. Nope. Watson gets a "sanitary," face and paw trim, but that's it. With Lola, I'm not even going to do the face, but let her just be a blind girl until it grows out long enough to pull up into a top knot or clip. She'll be four months tomorrow, and we've started going to the dog park. She's doing great, but Waton won't let her have any friends. Every time she starts to play, he barks the other dogs away, then fake humps her. I've had to leash him a couple times just so she can run about. He was better this morning. Hopefully, it's just a phase.

  13. i never actually heard them, just lusted after them. the single driver speakers i had definitely did some things no other speakers do. just really quick. but at the expense of lots of stuff. in the end though, its hard to believe i'd be getting a better value with ampeggios over ATC. Plus I don't want to commit to having no low end. i can imagine having two setups just to indulge my curiosity, but it's really quite a bit of money for paper drivers. I have that kind of spidey sense tingle that tells me it may be a bit of snake oil hype. my current ethos is to embrace physics and get fuckin' big speakers. it feels more objective to me. i can definitely say that it's likely i won't ever buy a different brand (or pair) of speakers, i don't really feel a wanting for anything. if i ever move into a fancy urban setting i may be forced to switch or just run them very low, but who knows.

  14. Being able to see who liked a post may not be fixed for everyone. The software isn't letting me save the setting after enabling it on certain custom user groups, I've filed a support ticket about the issue and will see if it's a simple fix or not. Per the 'Spectrum' theme, the background does change color throughout the day, it's supposed to mimic the time of day. That's actually one of the settings I was thinking of disabling, but it sounds like I should leave it turned on :).

  15. Not live -- delayed -- what the fuck am I doing up so late? Did you forget to mention that version of Crockett's Theme right in the middle (I think it started before the 1:00 mark and ended after the 1:00 mark on the playreel or whatever it's called) or did you call it something else? I love that particular version, I want to know who remixed it. All the other versions are either too fast, too 80s, too ravey or something -- that one is perfect. And you played that same Elvis song on page 4, which is where I am listening to older playreels at work -- you're right, it's great. I actually did a double-take on which page I was on. Thanks for helping me get through my work day.

  16. I <3 Natalie Imbruglia. Imbruglia might be the greatest last name in the history of last names. And I think I heard one of these songs the other day! I distinctly remember thinking, "wow, some female singer didn't change the lyrics, good for her -- I don't know if I could do the same" (want to cover Tori Amos some day). I'll give it a listen, see if I can remember which song it was. Me: Knucks' set from earlier this evening

  23. The lady's veggie burger. My proper meal of ribs. New place from the owners of two of my 5 faves places in town, including my fav. This place I have been waiting for for 5 months, and I had stupid high expectations. It exceeded them, somehow. This is my new favorite place in Chattanooga, and if anyone swings through town I am taking them here. These are easily the best ribs I have ever had in my life. I've been to opening night at a few places in town and this was by far the best. Oh, we had an appetizer. Pickled veggies, deviled eggs, pralines (I think)_ and cheese sticks (basically goldfish.) I despise veggies but tried everything and was OK with some. Even the veggie burger with chipotle mayo was good. If you know how much I despise mayo and veggies you will realize how ridiculous it is that I tried this, much less liked it. Where is the drunk thread again? Also, why am I typing on my phone whilst sitting at a computer. **BRENT**
