Now I'm understanding why I'm fat. I've forgotten to change my oil. I've forgotten to send thank you notes. I've forgotten to wash behind my ears. I've even forgotten to take my pills, but never once have I ever forgotten to eat a meal.

Perfect opportunity for that act of true love. Ascend Sierra 2 or KEF LS50s (11.9" H by 7.9" W by 10.9" D) would be high of my list, unless you wanted more low end (especially when Elsa creates that monster to "scare" her sister).

It's not as if Audeze hasn't made piles of cash or somehow needs capital to make this new product a reality. It is absurd and further lowers my opinion of those guys.

there was some discussion over there and calculations of the current needed to drive the headphones at full power at 20khz. That number is something like 18ma or so, the T2 is 16ma, a lot of the other amps are much less. at 20ma, the carbon has both a faster rise time and wider frequency response than anything else out there. So for a while it seems bright, then it seems more natural. Definitely a difference.

Raffi Torres suspended 41 games for a shitty pre-season hit. Good riddance to bad trash. Zack Kassian suspended without pay after being involved in a bad crash (though i don't believe he was driving), headed to "level 2" rehab-type help. NHL admitting Coke may be prevalent in usage by players. Gonna be a fun season.....lets get the games freaking started, need to focus on some real hockey.

Boards of Canada - Geodaddi

Went last night/this morning to see the lead singer of my favorite band, The Chameleons UK. Mark Burgess, touring as ChameleonsVox, did a fantastic show of their entire first album, plus another 1+ album's worth of additional Chameleons material. Many of us have "that band" that eclipses others, for me it's the Chameleons, even though I got into them late in their original incarnation in the 80's (I just missed their last US tour in 1987, didn't get to see them as a group until a 2001 reunion). Met up with a couple I had met via a mailing list in the 90's and kept in touch with, along with a local musician acquaintance who will join the band for 3 nights because of the main guitarist's mom passing away in England. And also reconnected with another list-member who I hadn't chatted with since the early-90's. This was the last time Mark will tour apparently, it was a tremendous show with a ton of energy and joy. Three separate encores beyond the main show. I'm at work and pretty exhausted now, but still filled with the energy and light from an amazing show!
