I wanted to redo this as a single 4 layer board. The board is 111mm x 150mm. I'm pretty happy. Should have it back pretty soon and will give it a go. It supports a couple of styles of the servo for the offset so I can play a bit.

Sichuan feast

"These women" spend 8-13 hours each day in the hospital on rotations and, without fail, go to the gym/cross fit for 2 hours every day. They excel at academia and have well rounded lives. What's wrong with having aspirations for both becoming a physician, and a model? Why must we limit people into this box where they should only be doing one thing even if they are good at other things? Quite honestly it's an offensive statement to make. I know I will never be some great photographer but am I to stop taking pictures or sharing them publicly because I am in med school? And if there's a double standard for me being able to do it because I'm a guy and they not being able to do it because they are girls then it's doubly offensive. With the amount of hard work they put into looking the way they do, I am not surprised that they wanted boudoir style images - I didn't ask the reason as it is none of my business (did ask for permission before sharing them publicly). Their social media pages are full of images in work out clothes which cover basically the same % of their body if the clothing is a concern. As for the matter of context, they walked away happier and more confident of themselves ("no way I look like that!") so I certainly didn't mind shooting them in a room in a bed instead of at the gym. You'd be surprised that even women who look like that have insecurities about themselves for many reasons most of which have nothing to do with their bodies. If a shoot like this can get them over that mental block, I don't see any harm in it not that I see any harm in doing a boudoir shoot for no reason in particular. No fundraisers on my end. 2 friends asked me to take pictures. I obliged. Nothing more to it. John, we practiced blood pressures 2 years ago it's amazing how comfortable my classmates and people in general get around me once they realize I have a lovely girlfriend and absolutely no intentions do anything to jeopardize my relationship with her.

How do you fool them to let you take the pictures?

I'm just waiting to get these back. They are my shrunk down boards. The chassis is going to be 12" x 14.3" x 3.3". This will be the same as the power supply. Most everything is SMD now and I'm looking forward to stuffing this in a couple of weeks (I've got all the parts). The boards support two styles of batteries (jfet/LED or LT1021-10). Also they support both the original CSS as well as the 10m90s / DN2540 (thanks to JimL). I have to give props to Kevin and Birgir who did the original layouts. This thing is a beast with over 540 components.

Fair enough as you say you can be both. Still not something that I would do but if they want to more power to them. Glad you were able to help them out. I don't understand your air quotes, they are women and there are two of them. Should I have used "these two people". There was no generalization implied or otherwise.

So this wound up being kind of funny. I checked everything, and I mean every part of that side. Used multimeter resistance mode on the transistors to double check them and compared values to the good side. Everything matched up. All the top trace stuff to ground went to ground. All terminals were fine with or without wires screwed in. The couple little bridge traces were fine. So left with nothing else, I went trace short hunting systematically, every point to every other point. Then I finally found the culprit. The last time I had replaced the 10m90s for that rail, the solder pad for one leg lifted up just a hair and I had pushed it back down and soldered everything up fine. But moving the board around must have snapped it somehow, or maybe it happened when I double checked the tightness of the screws on the heatsinks. What it left me with was a shorted trace that you couldn't see at all under even magnification. Ridiculous. Took less than half a minute to remove the busted loose pad, score a bit of the trace down to copper, tin it, bend the cut lead over it and solder it properly. Then everything fired up, just as it should.

Hello Head-case. It is with great happiness that I type some more about my pen. As you can see, I have had this pen for a bit over a year now, and have used it daily. I did some reversible mods to it (sort of) which I reversed and am actually pretty happy with the pen's overall performance - out of the box! My previously mentioned concerns about the finish of the pen were largely unfounded. The finish has held up QUITE nicely - it did indeed get a little shiny (and has *still* not gotten uniform...) but has not scratched through, except right at the tip where the pen has been dropped onto the floor countless times. I was also concerned about the pocket clip, and it has stood up well. I recently started clipping the pen into my man-satchel, so the clip is getting used, and it is holding up well. As previously mentioned I put a few standard parker refills in the pen. They fit without modifications if you are careful to align everything well. I started with a few refills salvaged from free pens you get at trade shows.... This was a mistake & I am happy to say that there are worse refills than the Goliath . Then I had the pen using a Quink refil for a few weeks. This was a HUGE mistake, as the Quink is verry non-waterfast, and a few drops of water erased some work I was working on at work. Oops. I reverted to the OEM goliath cartridge. The cartridge is still a bit on the "stiff" side, but for a cartridge that has run for basically a full year I gotta give it some credit. Please make no mistake, I am anxiously awaiting the day it finally fucking dies so I can put a Fischer refill in without being wasteful but I'm not so disgusted that I cant use this one up. All in all, I am happy with this purchase. My only complaint is that the Goliath cartridge lasts too long, and is not bad enough to just throw away. Even it has its merits.

Several people had asked about "built" Torpedo III's being available. I'm almost finished constructing four new Torpedo III's. I'll put these and a couple of others on sale in the next few days.

Architecture in Helsinki - Moment Bends

The HV900 boards (from the Circlotron Group Buy) is working Has loaded it with 20k. When powering up, the amp-meter max out for a few secs, then drops to approx 1A, and finally settles at 180mA. Using a 250VA from ToroIDY seems to run cool and silent.

Quite proud of this one. A fair amount of work went into it. Doesn't look nearly as effortless as Peter's work but happy with how it turned out nonetheless.
