  1. Still in progress. Board shortened now 160mm x 80mm. Found models of tubes on the internet. The small tubes even have golden pins. I got the tube models from grabcad.com and the creator of EL34 and small tube (12AX7) is Andrew Whitham, United Kingdom.

  2. I've been obsessed with Fleetwood Mac's "Dreams" since the first time I heard it in the early 1980s. I think it's their signature song. It sums up the band's inter-relationships, dysfunction and cocaine usage perfectly. Just about everyone knows the studio version. Let's take a journey through some live versions. Live at some major festival, 2015. I dislike this one the most. Stevie's voice is going, but that's the least of my complaints. At this point the band is doing this for cash, and it shows. Lindsey Buckingham is a smarmy douche his awful personality just radiates out from him. Also, this live take manages to completely remove the balls from the song's famous bassline. Live, 1982. Only plays in the left channel. Stevie (and the rest of the band) are coked to the GILLS. Her voice is in tatters, the rest of the band is sloppy. This rendition is terrible, but somehow authentic. It really conveys the state of the band in 1982. Live 1977. Now this is magic. Steve's performance here is actually BETTER than the studio version. At 2:19 she hits the high note so beautifully that it actually causes Lindsey to look over at her for a second. It's goosebumps inducing. I can only imagine what it was like to be there at that show. Oh, and this is a peek in my virtual record bag:

  7. Thanks for feedback Birgir. Moved a1486s to main heat sink. Kind of work that’s easily done with help of netlist and a glass of doublewood 12 years. Hmm... should move a1486s half an inch to the right.

  9. The two fellows in the red circle are 2sa1486. Roughly 800mW each, maybe to-126 is a better choice than smd stn9360…

  10. Jose, when I read the badge my brain saw "El Pino Terror" (the horror pine) and I thought "what a climb must be that"

  11. Just picked my bike up from the shop - they replaced the axle and bearings free of charge, so that was nice. Will make sure to dismantle and regrease at least once a month from now on, just to make sure it never happens again.

  12. Most likely before and after. We used to stop at a brewery on the old century in NH (Moat Mountain) but I don't think there's one on this route. The kickoff party on Friday night is hosted by Switchback Brewing which is pretty good but the planned route getting to the ride includes Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, and Foam Brewing so there should be plenty of haze in my weekend. ? And again, thanks to everyone for their generous donations. This group never ceases to amaze and I'll do my best to do you proud. I'll try to get a few pics uploaded during and after.

  13. Went on a pretty high intensity ride yesterday, so i had planned to take it easy and just enjoy a short trip in the sun today. Ended up being caught up in the mood, so the trip ended up as a 108km ride... i had forgotten my wallet, and only brought a banana with me, so on the way home i was pretty much running on fumes ? https://www.strava.com/activities/1799130499

  14. We're getting very close - the power switch is on the front and a DACT is optional. Champagne will be a color option. This prototype has a blue bead blasted panel (compared to our usual polished blue).
