  1. Just cooked 1.5 lbs. of bacon, then crumbled. Cubed 7 lbs. of cheese (5 lbs. Tillamook cheddar, 2 lbs. Boars Head pepper jack), in preparation for my homemade macaroni and cheese. My contribution to tomorrow's dinner at Al's Sister's house. If that sounds heavy to you, there's also 32 oz. of heavy cream and 24 oz. of sour cream involved in the cheese sauce. I generally make this dish only once a year these days. Not sure the arteries could take more than that.

  2. First Georgia helps elect Biden, now Georgia convicts three White men of killing a Black man. I'm going to have to reevaluate Georgia. Way to go Georgians!

  3. I'm watching the news that three asshats have been found guilty of murdering an unarmed jogger in Georgia. Thank you to the jurors for being human.

  5. We just had nachos and salad and will cap off the evening with peppermint brownies and multiple ice creams to prepare for tomorrow. I might have a little extra ice cream to get ready for the macaroni bomb and other treats tomorrow. 😳

  8. Enjoy the holiday. I'm wondering when will it be a festivity here, after all giving thanks is a nice practice.

  10. Happy Thanksgiving HeadCase. Time to reflect, eat, drink and give thanks, and ponder what to be grateful for. This year compared to last? A new administration? A vaccine rollout, including boosters for all that want it? Enjoy the myth. Pay no attention to the historical genocide. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/nov/25/thanksgiving-myth-wampanoag-native-american-tribe

  11. That sounds great, Sam! I haven’t had pea berry in years. I made a latte (decided I needed a pick me up while cooking vegan biryani for me and my cats). I purposefully don’t do latte art, but I could have with this almond milk (just using my workaday Breville with a single hole wand tip). Local espresso blend. Perfect nano foam. Well extracted (16.5 in 40 out in 30 seconds), ground using the Ode with SSP (I have it figured out now). Really delicious.

  13. You bet, ER. I am a fan of Onyx's coffees. They went a bit Neiman Marcus on packaging and weight for me, but the quality was undeniable. Tomorrow morning is mine. No way I am awaiting the 24 days till X-mas... HS

  15. Earlier: Cheese, shrimp cocktail, salmon, ham, turkey leg, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, green beans, gravy, pumpkin cheesecake, almond meringues. Just had a little bit of everything, spent quite a bit of time at the table, taking tiny helpings every once in a while, but it's still the most I've eaten in one sitting. Now: (erp)

  17. Regardless of whether it’s a double wide or a single, I think that looks the business, Sam! Coffee impressions required, of course.

  19. Not today but yesterday I had two what I call “Real Men of Genius” moments. #1. Had leftover poutine and thought to myself, I bet that would make a hell of an omelette. Result was yes, indeed, it was delicious. #2. Had leftover smoked pulled pork. Decided nachos were required. It was a good day.

  21. It is beautiful indeed. But I have to say, you've had the ping pong table for a while now, and it's driving me crazy that you haven't built some crazy cool speaker enclosures. The sky is the limit. Think of the crazy wave guides you could ping pong!

  22. Pretty simple, female is V carved .11 with a 60deg bit, male is cut at .02 with a start depth of .09 with the same bit. Male is a mirror of the female. Then glued up and clamped. Once dry the male portion is cut of on the bandsaw (could also surface it off on the CNC but bandsaw is way quicker). Then sand.

  24. Sylvère Lotringer, who popularized French critical theory in the United States, helped inspire the Matrix movie series, hosted conferences for counterculture celebrities, lent his name to a character in an acclaimed novel and a television series based on it [I Love Dick], provoked rants on Fox News and founded an influential publishing house — all while trying to outrun memories of a childhood spent on the precipice of disaster [damn Nazis] — died on Nov. 8 at his home outside Ensenada, Mexico, in Baja California. 25. RIP the dead when an SUV ripped at speed into a Christmas parade in a small community in Wisconsin. At least five dead and 40-odd injured. He first hit schoolchildren and then a parade of dancing grannies. The police have the bastard in custody,
