  1. This. It's pretty terrible IMO and not because of Alison Krauss. The highlight was hearing Robert plant sing Lucinda William's, Can't Let Go: It's over, I know it but I can't let go It's over, I know it but I can't let go It's over, I know it but I can't let go ...yes Mr. Plant, it is.

  3. We might have drove back to base blacked out from one of our training airfields. Seems pretty mundane after flying around blowing things up with them on.
  4. OMG I’m obscure woodworking famous.
  5. As I recall, the one built by paradoxper that I fixed for tkam had a bit of difference in volume (not measured) between ZF and SS modes. Close, but not exact. It was close enough that it wouldn't have bothered me. I'll order B on-semi sand.
  6. Listening to a playlist I put together of my favorite album closing tracks. I've found myself really drawn to a lot of these songs lately and I don't know what it is, but artists really have a knack for closing out albums with some amazing songs. https://music.apple.com/us/playlist/closing-tracks/pl.u-qAqMtzX4e5 This playlist on shuffle rarely disappoints.
  7. i have been told that the new vendors supplying to92 parts have acquired the semiconductor lines from the previous manufacturers, so they should be identical. but i have not tested this. it is certainly a pain in the ass.
  8. Trying to figure out why one of these was $50 and the other was $10, other than “Jacob is a gullible dipshit with a credit card:” The Subminimal is a little nicer, but it ain’t 5x nicer. 2.35x nicer, tops. The anodized finish on both is, as far as I can tell (and I used a loupe) absolutely identical.
  9. Yemenia pour-over. 16:1 210F 3:30 draw. This is a fascinating coffee. Delicious. Thank you Covered_Ears!
  10. IMS makes espresso baskets. The Flair 58 has a standard sized portafilter, so you can use commercial parts. I choose IMS over VST due to cost and availability. A precision basket will be better than most of what is shipped with machines (Flair has a perfectly good basket, but it’s not precision). Makes a difference on extraction evenness. I’ve attached comparison pics. The IMS precision competition basket has a significantly different shape and is more free-flowing; also has very precise holes (hence “precision.” :)). Difference is not subtle.
  11. Not to pick nits but the "ideal for" part says good for "firefighting". What fires require night vision capabilities?
  12. Nice, ANVIS-6 goggles are ideal for night driving. I need some better night driving skills.
  13. I did. Peterson and Joe Pass live with good sound quality. Enjoy 👍
  14. Two tube. GPNVG is better for you older folk that down want to keep up a good scan.
  15. Jeff, please buy the ANVIS-6 goggles, then when you get bored of them, sell them to me so I can sit outside at night and observe all the critters making their way up the canyon. Are those two or three tube goggles?
  16. Started gluing up some basic cabinet doors that I hope to be able to spray when it hits 60 degrees here next week.
  17. This one I have in my playlist of 2021 jazz. Did you like it?
  18. That final race is going to be interesting nonetheless Wondering about the next season, hoping more homogeneity in the cars will bring out more of pilots hands. I'm guessing that in that scenario Max will shine even more, and quite possibly guys like Russell, Leclerc, Sainz, Norris and possibly Alonso will have some chances.
  19. I read the first one and liked it, still need to read the other 2. Also LOVED the 3BP series. Reading The Wasp Factory now. & Gravity's Rainbow. Going full immersive on the Pynchon: First I read the corresponding chapter in Weisenburger's Companion, then I read the actual chapter, then I read the online Wiki, then I listen to the chapter on audiobook, then, lastly, I look at the corresponding pages in Pictures Showing What Happens on Each Page of Thomas Pynchon's Novel Gravity's Rainbow.
  20. Well, it appears that I am going to have to get power upgrades to the garage after all. This single 15amp circuit to the garage powers the sump pump, all three outlets, all the lights and the garage door opener. If I work in the dark, I might be able to run dust extraction and the saw at the same time.
  21. No, was already there, just posted some pictures for feedback. It will just be there for a week. Last weeks picture was moose dung carved out of hickory.
  22. Just finished the Broken Earth trilogy by N.K. Jamisin. Fabulous! Each of the three books won the Hugo award the year it came out. All three are deserving winners. I’d rank this as my second favorite sci-fi series of the last decade after the Three Body Problem books.
  23. Great hike with the family in the PNW. Man do I love it here.
