  1. I have been following - Fall of Civilizations - YouTube channel for years now. The host Paul Cooper writes, narriates, and produces these epic documentaries about lost civilizations. Calls it a Podcast. He releases a audio version, and then some months later releases the fully produced video. Not an easy task at 4 hours running time. As he states in the intro of each episode: "I look at a civilization of the past that rose to glory and then collapsed into the ashes of history. I want to ask, what did they have in common? What led to their fall, and what did it feel like to be a person alive at the time who witnessed the end of their world?" These rank up there with almost anything I have listened to or seen. Including - Homemade Documentaries - by Jackson Tyler. Another YouYube documentarian, which I think I have posted here before - here is his latest work on Gemini, Crazy good at just under 3 hours. Mikey likes long format learnings...
  2. i mean, itโ€™s not any of the things it advertises. most home roasters can handle 300g, mine easily does 1kg. if you want 1 touch roasting the ikawa seems good
  3. Agreed. They were the first (and maybe still one of the only) idol groups to perform with a live band rather than backing tracks. I think the Kami Band backing them is really tight, but what do you expect from professional Japanese session metal players? Obviously crass commercialism is a part of the genre, but they are a little less gross than their peers.

  6. So, I just learned of the Pure Audio Project Heil AMT open baffle speaker. https://pureaudioproject.com/shop/ The Trio 10 with Heil AMT. A true dipole/open baffle design.
  7. Letters from a Black Widow by Judith Hill (2024) https://album.link/i/1725956934 Example: I have been posting a lot recently. I normally listen to a lot of music that is not worthy of posting, but I have had a string of bangers over the last week. I really liked Judith's voice, and this recent album has some highlights to bring it to life.
  8. But would you approach them on a big wheel?

  11. There are people on this forum who I believe could design such a speaker. I probably shouldn't name names, but one chose a certain pipe tobacco as his name here. ๐Ÿ˜Š Building the speakers once someone much smarter than myself designs it, would be the fun part for me. My monitors that Marc designed are absolutely brilliant. I would still want the AMT unit atop the speaker in a dipole fashion.
