  4. You are one of the greatest, here on my side it's easier to open the mouth instead of go checking updates on the two repositories 😁😔 Hope it addresses also the thermal runaway...
  5. There's an updated board on google drive that has a 10k trimmer with dn2540 that you can adjust the current till it's stable. https://drive.google.com/file/d/16cuirLgLsadI1xa9c6OoaIqW6KevyZPa/view?usp=drive_link
  6. Thanks friends, and happy birthday Carl and Peter! I capped off an incredibly busy week with a metal concert in a tiny bar in Winnipeg. Reflected on the passage of time and teared up a bit when my kid made friends in the moshpit and headbanged in sync with arms around his buddies' shoulders.
  7. I'm not really fan of the HP-1000 series, it's too clinical sounding for me and a poor match for most of my music. It does the technical things well and I can pick out all the faults in the recordings, but I feel it sucks too much of the life & emotion out of the music. Keep in mind that my reference until the last year or so is the RS-1 so take that for what it's worth. I did try swapping the HP100SE to flat pads, tames the brightness a bit but it also shrinks the soundstage and makes everything smaller. It's kinda like going back to a 21" computer screen when I'm used to a 27" one. IMO it's better than the giant bowls but at the price the HP100SE is going for I'd much rather buy the S950 or try to hunt down a set of PS-1 Pros.
  8. That's sad, although I had no idea she was 87 years old. A true pioneer. We are going to make her bright pink cranberry relish for Thanksgiving as an homage. We've made it a few times and I quite like it, although we will make a more standard version as well. RIP to the legend (which we seem to be losing a lot of). https://www.npr.org/2006/11/23/4176014/mama-stambergs-cranberry-relish-recipe
  9. Hope you all have a great day, Carl, Iain and Peter! Three cheers!
  10. When the background singer is totally overqualified and decides to take over the song.
  11. RIP Susan Stamberg. I'm not sure I aligned with per politically or otherwise, by I can say my formative years had her and the other NPR ladies on in the background. I'd say her name wrong ("Stanberg" "Samberg") much to the amusement to the adults.
  12. RIP Ace Frehley. I was never particularly a fan of Kiss, but his showmanship was something else.
  13. Diane Keaton at 79
