  1. I don't have all the details, of course, but it seems the only thing that has happened so far is that Nagra filed an opposition to Tanagra's trademark application covering its name in connection with CD sales and related business. It has nothing to do with the logos from what I can see. It is pretty standard practice for trademark holders to file oppositions to applications that might infringe on theirs to test the issue and to prove that they are protecting their rights. Sometimes, the trademark holder is really just trying to make sure the junior user of a potentially similar mark doesn

  3. Picked up a LG OLED 65 C9 from Costco a few days ago. Also got a Sony UBP X800M2 4K player with HDR support. Only spent 3 minutes on some very basic calibration so far and I need to fine tune between contrast, brightness and OLED light (akin to LED\LCD backlight). Even as such, the picture with 4K HDR material is stunning! Actually better than I had expected. Decided to go with Costco option mostly due to the combined 5 year warranty on the TV. It does not have the WiSA (Wireless Speaker and Audio) feature and only saved me $50 compare to buying the retailer model from Best Bu

  5. Don't forget the remote app for your smart devices https://www.lg.com/us/experience-tvs/remote-apps But if you have multiple devices to control, the logitech Harmony remotes have a lot to recommend them. Enjoy your membership of the HC OLED users club!

  6. You’re happy with the picture, that’s the most important thing. You can get an aftermarket remote and program it, and it’ll be far more intuitive.

  7. Ended up getting a Sony UBP X800M2 ($229 + tax) from Best Buy to go with the LG OLED 65 C9 I got from Costco. The X800M2 supports both HDR and Dolby Vision. Has very limited connectivity option (1 each LAN, HDMI, HDMI-audio only, spdif (RCA)). But seems solidly built for the price (weights 3.9Kg) and I am happy it can be configured to output digital audio signal in PCM so I can use my Soekris or T+A DAC. I am happy with it so far. But I miss OPPO!
