What are you EATING right now?
My family hazed Anne by ordering chicken feet on our first dim sum trip when we were dating and getting serious. Also duck feet, pig's feet, jelly fish, and century eggs. She was a trooper and tried everything, and my parents loved her for it. Years later, she discovered that we really don't like the feet, and haven't ordered it since. We just wanted her to try something new ...

Sorry, Antonio! Feel better soon! Todd, sorry about your Father in law. Tough diagnosis ... really hard for family, especially. Maybe worth reading The Thirty Six Hour Day. Hope it's not too bad of a course for you and your wife! http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss_c_0_11?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=thirty+six+hour+day&sprefix=thirty+six+%2Caps%2C350

Maybe repeating myself, but was classmates in med school with John Frank, the Ohio State then SF 49er tight end. Nice guy, though kept to himself. Maybe got tired of us hoping he'd play on our intramural football team. Plus his Porsch 911 was a bit nicer than the beaters all of us were driving around, not mention his Super Bowl rings. He retired early from the NFL. Got tired of things like being yelled at if he helped a guy from the other team get up. Glad your guy has been good for you!

Yeah, in my office, I bought an ergonomic chair and it really helped. I asked for an ergonomic chair for years at the VA and for years, I was told yes, they'll put one order. Yeah, right. One day, everyone in the clinic suddenly got one. I would guess someone finally sued them and all of a sudden, they decided it was important. Iain, congrats! Looks impressive and important. Can't understand it.

And now what did you do TODAY?
So sad. I wore an abdominal support (aka, girdle) under my shirt all day at work for a few weeks around the hospital and in the office just so I could stand and walk without debilitating pain. Horrible. Good news is the vast majority of these remit without surgery. Though that doesn't take into account your apparent curse.

Damn, really nice pics, all! CJ, sorry about the knee. Ten feet is a long way to fall, actually! Glad you're mostly ok! Reks, damn, can't believe your run of bad luck. Unable to walk is not good. I herniated a disc right around your age, and damn, that shit hurts! Hopefully nothing serious for you - good luck!

MLB Playoff 2013
Yeah, I didn't expect the Indians to go very far in the playoffs. On the other hand, I didn't expect them to MAKE the playoffs, so I hoped I'd be wrong again. I agree, it'd be great to see Francona (my buddy!) against his old team. Great drama, great storyline, karma, all that. Oh well, it was a great year, overall. Maybe add a power hitter or two and they have something next year!
