^^ Yes, good thinking. Despite MANY attempts to deflect our cats to other scratching areas, they used to scratch anything they want. One has passed, and the other still likes to scratch various things other than his posts or pads; he did some grill cover damage to a pair of Platinum Audio PT-801 monitors I had a little bit low to the ground. But a few other speakers I've had in the same spot he didn't touch. So who knows what scents/grill cloth feeling/whatever drove him just to those speakers....

Never mind the speaker panels having lots of streaks and pulls in them!

Celebrating Karen's birthday with an extended weekend celebration.... Last night we saw Livingston Taylor at a nice theater that is about a mile away from our Maine condo! Nice time, though I tried to get a note to him through the staff to wish her a happy bday and he didn't.... BTW, the Cowboy Junkies are coming there in October, will try and see them. Today, we're both working remotely, but we'll do a nice dinner at a restaurant by the water tonight. Then son comes up tomorrow and we'll do a couple more things. Then home Sunday; Karen is going to a play with a friend, then her mom is taking us out Sunday night to celebrate....

Oh, man, RIP Rutger Hauer. Aside from Blade Runner, my other favorite role of his was in The Hitcher. Not a great movie, but he made it great to watch.

^^^ Those Dali's should be in Speaker Porn....I've liked some of the sound I've heard from that small dome mid and ribbon tweeter of theirs....

I remember that, and the battery-powered T-Amp to drive them! used to own that pairing myself.....

Karen and I started Stranger Things Season 3 last night.....just watched first episode....

Year ago (late 90's) when I was in Akihabara I found an oasis of a store in the middle of the tech junk. It had a love affair with large speakers like JVC's and Tannoy's, and big amps like Accuphase, Kerell, and Levinson; lots of other brands, though, and they had a display not too far off from what you posted (no keyboards/synth's, though). Two regrets: I only wish I was able to communicate with the proprietor better....and they had a wonderful selection of 3 Blind Mice CD's, and I was stupid not to get any at the time....

Went to a neighborhood block party, went from 2pm to past 11pm when all was said and done. Really great time, one of the neighbors set up a nice inflatable movie screen that the kids loved. In the middle of it, hosted a few folks for some Bourbon and Scotch (later had to help one of said folks home as he was quite inebriated!).

That whole room is a big win!
