  1. RIP - will have to acquire Mercury, till then...
  2. RIP, will have to listen to his Bach in honor
  3. I really liked the PK2s. I gave them to a friend a few years ago and still miss the sound and convenience. From what I understand, PK1 better with amp, PK2 without.
  4. Yep, they are huge for me too. Comfort isn't the greatest either.
  5. I've been hunting for a similar closed mid priced phone for the past year. I've tried or owned the usual suspects. The only one that didn't sound mid-fi was the Shure SRH-940. I don't think Tyll liked it, but to me, it sounds very close to the HD800 (not being dramatic here). The HD800 beats it in all areas, but I was pretty surprised how close it came when first hearing it (amped). The headband is different than the 840 I believe. A small spike in the treble region is the only sound issue I have (same issue with the 800). The Shure's are also relatively neutral sounding. Did I mention they are DETAILED? Anyway, the down side is they are huge and ugly and the plastic tends to crack and break. Isolation is pretty good. YMMV
  6. The Stanley Clarke Trio - Jazz In The Garden
  7. Very nice! Jealous - I'm a big BAT fan
  8. Pat and Madden were the best for me as well. RIP
  9. Yes, insanely good - Amazing actually! We all (girlfriend and family) enjoyed it (read: were blown away). The drummer and bassist were no slouches either. The jazz center was very nice also. I look forward to seeing more shows there.
  10. I used to think it was Billy Holiday but Nina has got to be my favorite female singer. The deepest, darkest... most soulful. whatever, she's awesome
  11. Nice Al, we're going to the Sunday show. Can't wait
