  2. Got it, Jeff. For some reason, it was being filtered out to junk mail. As for draft, nights work best for me, with getting kids to bed and all. I should be available from Thursday on.
  3. Jeff, I haven't received any invites. Is the league site same as last year?
  4. Did the scam call actually know your name? It's fairly easy to figure out the cell provider if you have the area code and first three digits of a phone number, assuming you haven't moved to a different carrier without changing your phone number. It's easy enough to send scam messages to numbers that would be attributed to one certain carrier by just using the area code and first three digit (e.g., 508-740-xxxx numbers are generally Sprint numbers).
  5. Keeping a tired infant awake so he can be asleep (i.e., not moving) during his audiology appointment a bit later. This is terrible.
  6. ^ Assuming my memory serves, she works at a school right? I can't believe schools are back in session already for her. I have another week before I need to go back.
  7. We have a cheaper (and older) LG gas dryer and I don't ever remember hearing much noise from it. BTW, Home Depot delivery guys don't/can't install gas appliances, so at least you avoided the aggravation of finding that out after the fact. $400 to install; however, is beyond ripoff. I hope the plumber wasn't your regular plumber, and if it was, methinks it's time to look for a new one.
  8. Thanks to the whole Market Basket fiasco around here, had a rather annoying grocery shopping this morning. It's a wonder my daughter didn't come home with few new words in her vocabulary.

  10. If we are doing a keeper league, I'm interested in playing this year, assuming there's another team to even out the numbers. I'll probably help someone win the league with some boneheaded mistakes due to sleep deprivation.

  12. We're getting a replacement sent in as well. Keeping with the theme of things not going according to plan, broken/damaged things - Came home to find two of my backup hard drives inaccessible and making that lovely clicking noise. Yep, they're both dead. Received new sheets/bedding for our daughter's new bed - except the store sent us a wrong one. The CS for the above store tells us that we can exchange it at the local store since they have it in store - we drive there to find out the particular brand isn't even carried in stores. Then spent over 20 minutes talking to the CS yet again just get the one we actually ordered sent again. The lever/handle to open the trunk/hatch on my car is now stuck, meaning I can't open it at all.
  13. ^ That sucks, Doug. At least in our case, the customer service was very nice when we called them, and explained to us politely that they need to send a service tech to examine before authorizing replacement.
  14. Continuing with the furniture saga, just took delivery of our daughter's new bed and dressers. Well, one of the drawer runners on a dresser just ripped off the side wall. They're supposedly sending in a service tech in the next 3 hours to take a look at it, but we'll be insisting on replacement.
