You would be 100% correct if the mr stood for Mr., unfortunately when I first chose that user-name a few years ago it stood for the m in Miguel and the r for Ramon which happen to be my first and middle names. I have been using it on so many forums that I have just let it be. Sorry.

Thinking of trying out Ultrasones... bad idea?
Thanks, I needed that. Regardless, I still like the ones I have listened too and then owned.

The Headcase Stax thread
I thought it was an older picture, and the date on the bottom right confirmed it.

Very nice looking unit, I am thinking of replacing my older Monster 3500MkII unit and this would work out fine. The lowest price I found was about $615 at: PROVANTAGE: APC S10BLK APC AV Black 1KVA S Type Power Conditioner with Battery Backup 120V Have you seen it elsewhere for less? Thanks.

The Ultrasone sound is not for everyone, some love it but most do not care for it. I am one of the few ones who has enjoyed their sound and I have owned the PROline 2500 and the HFI-780. I hope one day to listen to the Ed8 to see if they would be for me, or not. However, you mention you like the Grado sound. That being the case you could look for an used RS-2, which for certain music is IMO better than the RS-1. Another option would be an used SR225 which can be found for around $150 used. Personally I prefer the Grados out of a tube amp like the Mapletree or in some cases a hybrid unit like the old Musical Fidelity X-Can V2. As I recall the Predator is on the warm sound and should help tame the Grado highly energetic top end. Good luck.

Two notes IMO is also referred as an interval and depending on whether you go with a major or minor third things could get interesting specially when you start inverting the notes.

If you are asking me the answer is don't worry. If the Heed picture helps I am glad. Heck if you need any additional Heed pictures send me an email and I will gladly send them to you. Cheers.

I wonder how old that picture of the Solo is? I ask because I have access to the last three updates of the Solo (Green, SRG, and SRG-II) and they are not the same as the one posted. Funny thing is that the picture of the Heed looks exactly as one I posted in late 2006.

I concur, do go and hire an attorney. If nothing else to help you fill out the forms. Good luck.

Sherwood that is one nice looking bass! What will you use as an amp? Please do not say a vintage Ampeg SVT. Enjoy your new toy.

Well, I bought one of the winders. If it lasts a year I will be satisfied, less it will be not so good. I will load it with my wife's smaller automatics to prolong the life of the motor. Thanks for the update.

RWA Black Lightening - Battery Power Supplies
I have had the opportunity to listen to the K1000 amped by a Signature 30.2 and I owned an Isabellina HPA which I felt sounded very nice and it had no noise I could hear w/ any of my headphones. So impressed was I with their sound that I have ordered a Signature 30.2 power amp to drive my K1000. I am in the process of saving money to upgrade from the Isabellina HPA to the Isabella fully loaded. Is it the best? Who knows, considering what is out there I doubt it but to me and my ears it sounds very nice. I also had on loan the ALO Amphora Amp which is the bases of the dynamic headphone amp in the Isabellina HPA. I felt the Amphora was also very nice sounding, although in the Isabellina HPA I felt it had more punch. Perhaps due to the higher voltage and amps driving it. On my Isabellina HPA I had Vinnie install the 12 volt socket on the rear to power the Wadia i170 instead of the wall-wart that Wadia supplies. I tested and felt the sound was not as harsh w/ the battery providing the power to the Wadia i170. Of course, none of the above means anything until each of the users has a chance to listen for himself/herself. Cheers.
