When your comparing bit rates are you sure you aren't just seeing the regular dolby digital or dts streams (ie not the lossless ones)? I find it hard to believe that dolby truehd and dts ma have lower bitrates than the regular tracks on dvds. Honestly I think it's impossible.

Related Update: I switched to a different e-mail provider for head-case.org email today. I'd been noticing and increasing amount of mail going to comcast getting bounced back. Yeah drobo released a network storage attachment/option that works with all drobo units. It's an extra $200. As far as pre-built NAS units, Thecus makes some good stuff especially the pro line. Qnap and Synology also make good NAS devices though they are more expensive.

Looks like the PS3 is finally getting Netflix streaming support. Netflix streaming coming to PS3 The netflix streaming on the xbox 360 has been great hopefully the ps3's will be similar.

I have a 1st gen drobo that I could sell you pretty cheap if you want it. I'm not really using it anymore.

The plugin that does the parsing uses a cache folder to do it's work and the location of the folder was still set the full path of the old server. Just updated it to the full path on the new server and it's good to go again.

Made one final change to the database, it affects how attachments are handled. So if you notice any issues with attachments please let me know immediately.

Well I ended up spending more time with the various canon and nikon models at the local Ritz Camera yesterday. Decided to go with the D90, the price @ Ritz wasn't very good so I just ordered the following from Amazon: D90 Body Nikon 18-200mm Nikon 50mm SB-600 w/ diffuser I don't currently have a camera bag big enough for all that so I'd like some suggestions for a relatively cheap bag.

Is that using the same DAC chip as the Buffalo DAC uses?

User albums and attachments should be working normally again now. Also just turned on extra php caching to speed things up a bit .

Caught one myself, time on the new server wasn't right, should be fixed now

I moved the site over to it's new server tonight, total downtime was roughly an hour or so. I still have to re-link the user albums and there might be some issues with old attachments but I'm working on that. Otherwise everything else should be working ok, let me know if you find anything that's not.

I just attribute that to the language barrier and/or poor translation to English.

Has anyone heard any of the Audio-gd dacs? Specifically the Reference One. Not sure on the details of the output stage but at $1300 for a fully balanced pcm1704 dac. It's awfully tempting.
