Quadro Graphics Cards/Pro Graphics Cards
The only real difference between the consumer and pro level cards is driver support and "certification" for working with the various CAD/3D apps.

Official Head-Case Thread to help fix Icarium's SP amp
I've started up this thread to give folks a place to offer their time/parts/labor whatever to help Icarium get his SP amp up and running and with a little luck maybe even sounding good. Hopefully this thread will to organize the effort that I'm sure has already begun via PM's. If your unaware of Dan's situation:

My new source is in...lots of pics
It probably just does what a lot of other tube gear does which is mute the outputs till the warm-up time is over. Cool yes, but not exactly something special.

Look out! Seagate 1TB drives allegedly failing en masse.
They finally released a working firmware fix today. I've installed it on a bunch of drives at work today and they've all updated correctly.

Yep like I mentioned above the time on the server was wrong for a few min. when it first came back up. Not sure the posts made during that time can be fixed.

Yeah the time reset when the server came back up today. There was about 20 min of downtime today due to a dead power supply. It's fixed now.

Almost forgot, for those of you with firefox that are having the problems what extensions/add-ons do you have installed and what anti-virus/firewall software do you have installed?

There's currently no feature like that in vBulletin. Might be available as a mod or something though I'll check into it.

Look out! Seagate 1TB drives allegedly failing en masse.
One of the annoying things is that despite this firmware debacle it probably won't hurt their business all that much. They still sell a shitload of drives to OEM's who don't mind RMA'ing them continually. And in the enterprise market, until SSD's get cheaper the Seagate 15k rpm SAS drives are still king.

Look out! Seagate 1TB drives allegedly failing en masse.
So shortly after my previous post Seagate released a new version of the firmware. It apparently works on the 1TB drives but bricks the 500gig drives. Seagate has since pulled the firmware: "Note: This file has been temporarily taken offline as of Jan 19, 2008 8PM CST for validation." Validation my ass it's more like "oops we forgot to test this on more than one drive" I will never buy another Seagate SATA drive again.

Review: EAR Acute CD player
Actually I'd give the output transformers more credit than the tubes.

Review: EAR Acute CD player
The Ear Acute is essentially a highly modded Arcam player. I forget which one but I believe the transport and digital section are pretty much the stock Arcam parts. Maybe some mods to that but the output stage is all Ear.

Awesome the ISO your supposed to use to boot from and update the firmware. Yeah it doesn't work, crashes at the point when you tell it load the firmware to your drive. Fucking Seagate.
