  1. I moved the site over to it's new server tonight, total downtime was roughly an hour or so. I still have to re-link the user albums and there might be some issues with old attachments but I'm working on that. Otherwise everything else should be working ok, let me know if you find anything that's not.

I just attribute that to the language barrier and/or poor translation to English.
  3. Has anyone heard any of the Audio-gd dacs? Specifically the Reference One. Not sure on the details of the output stage but at $1300 for a fully balanced pcm1704 dac. It's awfully tempting.
  4. Pretty clear in the 1st post $1k for body-only or w/ kit lens
  5. I'm going to visit a couple more camera shops over the weekend but right now I'm leaning toward the following: Nikon D90 18-200mm VR SB-600 flash I'll be doing quite a bit of indoor and low-light shooting so I think the sb-600 makes sense. Regarding the 18-200mm, has anyone tried out Tamrons new 18-270mm? Has the extra 70mm and is $100 cheaper.
  6. I do agree with what a lot of you are saying about the lenses being more important in the long run but I'm not someone whose going to get a new camera every couple years and I doubt I'll ever own more than a handful of lenses. I did get a chance last night to stop at the local Ritz Camera and try out a few cameras. They had display models for the Canon Rebel XSi and the 50D for Nikon they had the D60 and D90. That pretty much mirrors my impressions, maybe it's because of my big hands but the XSi just didn't feel right to me at all. I really didn't expect ergonomics to play that much of a role but they've pretty much ruled the XSi out for me. The 50D was much better ergonomically and is built extremely well but it's out of my price range. The D90 felt great, has a little more weight than the XSi which I liked and overall seemed to fit my hand better.

Agreed losing Dyson was a huge loss for UConn. Without him AJ price is the only decent shooter they have to rely on in late games.

That's mostly due to the foul trouble though, three Memphis starters had 2 fouls and missed at least 10min of the first half. LSU v Butler is getting good as well, Butler is only down 1 now after making a short run.

I'm watching the high quality stream online (all the streaming is via silverlight) and I'm extremely impressed with the quality. It's probably the best quality stream I've ever seen. Now I just have to keep an eye out for some good games
  10. Can get the nikon d90 body only for about $889 and the canon 40d body only for around $850. Regarding the d90, any good lens recommendations?
  11. My trusty Sony a100 bit the dust the other day and it's well out of warranty at this point so I figure it's time for a new camera. I'd like to keep the cost under $1k (body only or w/ kit lens). While I liked the a100 I'm thinking it might be a good idea to go with a Canon or Nikon this time due to the large of amount of available lenses and their seemingly better performance at higher ISO levels. Any suggestions/recommendations are appreciated

I watched it last night. Nothing special just a behind the scenes thing with lots of short interview clips with the various cast and crew members.

  14. Yet another reason to buy things from Amazon or NewEgg whenever possible....
  15. The new Oppo's upscaling capabilities should be much better than the PS3's. The Oppo 983's upscaling certainly is and the BDP-83's upscaling is supposed to be pretty similiar to the 983's. Other than that the only "feature" advantage it is has is dvd-a support. If you have an upscaling dvd player already or plan to use the PS3's other features then get the PS3. The PS3 is still an excellent blu-ray player and may still be the best. If nothing else it certainly has the fastest load times .
  16. I recieved this: Amazon.com: Braun Series 7- 790cc Pulsonic Shaver: Health & Personal Care as an x-mas gift this year. It replaced a Panasonic I bought a couple years ago. Much closer shaver, and it's also quieter. I really like the self-cleaning system, it's nice having a fresh like-new shaver every morning when I use it. I should also mention that the cleaning fluid lasts around 3 months and the refill kits are pretty cheap.
  17. It's called "Download Thread Hack" it's quite old which is why I didn't find it before. It did require some rather minor manual changes to one of the template files. But otherwise it doesn't interact much at all with any of the back-end vBulletin code.
  18. Found the plugin they are using over at AVS. It's installed here now, haven't had much time to test it with larger threads so let me know if find any problems with it.
  19. Tyll needs to get some PS-1000 measurements online .
  20. here you go nate: Linksys by Cisco Wireless-G Range Expander WRE54G
  21. i'm running dd-wrt on my ap now....
  22. So far everything I've read says that the extend functionality of the express only works with other airports. Still trying to find out if that's the case for sure though.
  23. Does anyone know of any 802.11n extenders/repeaters? Right now my access point is in the HT/Game room which is in the basement and adjacent to the garage. My bedroom is above the garage and coverage is pretty spotty. The problem is the wall between the basement and the garage it's at least a foot thick solid concrete. Apparently the wireless doesn't like going through that. So I'd like to get some sort of 802.11n extender/repeater/bridge that I could put on the first floor which would give a huge boost to the signal I'd get in my bedroom.
  24. Fantastic work as usual Justin
  25. Does he have cable tv that connects to anything that's in the same chain as his audio rig? If so tell him to disconnect the cable and see what happens. Also if he has a PS3 tell him to use a cheater plug on that, it's notorious for dumping a lot of noise back on the line.
