Briefcases, Bags, and the Murse
I need a new camera bag. Something sturdy and compact. Like me. Shoulder or sling would be good.

First of all, fuck points on a refi. Then fold those closing costs into the new loan. Of course it all just depends if the numbers work but I am fundamentally opposed to giving these asshole banks any points in this environment.

Thanks guys. Now I need to bother you again. I think I'm having some buyer's remorse. I like the D300 a lot, but I believe the controls on the D7000 are going to be more intuitive for me coming from the D50. Also, the D7000's size does have certain advantages, of course, even though I don't love the ergonomics. From what I've read the ergonomics can be improved by adding a battery grip to the D7000. I like the tank-like build quality of the D300, but now I'm wondering if the transition to the D7000 would be easier for me. So, bottom line is that I'm considering exchanging the D300 for the D7000. And I'm annoyed at myself. Any advice/guidance would be much appreciated.

Ok, more help needed gang. Could use some recommendations for a camera strap for the D300. Something more comfortable/substantial than the stock version.

If it's an end rig then why are you looking for another headphone rig?

Nate, Thanks. Your observations are consistent with what I've read. I ended up getting the D300. It's an earlier model than the D7000 and I guess doesn't have some of the features of the D7000, but it's a beast. And so much faster than my D50. I traded in my D50 kit and the Lumix and ended up getting the D300 in excellent condition for $450. The D7000 was going to be around $350 more than that, which made a difference. Interestingly, the D7000 is significantly more compact than the D300, but the D300 felt more comfortable in my hands. Shows the benefit of actually handling these things. Regardless, both cameras are a big step up from the D50 and I'm really excited to start shooting.
