The HD280 has about 30dB isolation without noise cancelling rubbish to destroy the sound that's supposed to be listened to.

Gents. How do you tell a Stax SRE-725 extension cable from a SRE-925S..? The new ones are both black and don't have any differentiating marks like model number on them.

You could always solder a piece of copper wire along the filament traces. Doesn't look too pretty, but boosts the track current carrying capacity.

I have to agree with grawk, SA5K's are earbleeders, The only headphones to outdo some Ultrasones for treble. And, yes, I have a pair in my collection.

There were 3 offers on these. So, Spritzer, ChrisX and someone else... Good to see someone on this forum got it. btw, I would have bought it outright except for the fact that I am now retired and the Australian dollar is sitting somewhere below 82c US. And also the postage charge was somewhat savage.
