A documentary on back country skiing made by one of my friends. I attended a Headfi meet in NYC that weekend and watched the final leg of the tour premiere of it the night before in a Village bar.

What are you EATING right now?
Some left over vegetarian "calzones" (I think stromboli is more accurate given the way they were cooked), an Italian restaurant owner and I cooked for us at ISKCON. Really delicious filling of finely ground eggplant, onions and scallions grilled under pressure so they formed a patty. Added a small amount of cheese and just very simple flavorful lunch.

Woo Audio WA6 Tube amplifier.
I'll be brutally honest here - it won't drive the SR-009

vacuum cleaner that isn't badly designed
All those things are annoying, but their 20 or 25 year warranty which includes parts and labor is pretty nice.

Schiit Gungnir DAC
I am thinking copious amounts of marijuana was involved in the making of that album/band. It's droning blues/guitar rock sort of stuff.

Help Putting Together a Fanless PC
I have read a couple of reports on a private HD tracker that the processor in the WDTV can get cooking hot since there is no heatsinking and the top ventilation isn't so great.

The ultimate DIY? A Stax SRM-T2!
IIRC the J79 (or K216) was the most expensive part when this thread was started a few years ago. Ironically it has not changed in price much. We should have cleared out Sanyo's entire stock of 3675 when they were $.50 each instead of being 'practical' and only taking 50-100 each per person

Help Putting Together a Fanless PC
That thread is very old. There have been a lot of firmware updates since then. I only play xvid or H264/x264 720p/1080p and it has played every file perfectly.

Help Putting Together a Fanless PC
IMO your best bet is a Boxee. It plays all the stuff you mentioned, except for the occasional weirdly encoded 1080p files. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0038JE07O IMO HTPCs are a thing of the past now that HD video is all decoded in the same manner and there is no FFDShow and other such upscaling tweakery.

New "unveiled" LCD3
Interesting, thank you. Looks like I have a lot of reading ahead of me. So was Ralph Karsten the first one to employ an OTL circlotron circuit commercially (he has it as a registered trademark)? I see that output transformers were used in circlotron designs in the 1950s. I've always been interested in the Atma-Sphere amps after hearing the M60s.

New "unveiled" LCD3
What is special about the Atmasphere amps? I have heard from a couple of DIY'ers that damping factor on some of their amps is high.
